Like DanaNM says, it helps to know what the rest of your bunnies diet is like.
Not all hay is equal, and rabbits definitely have preference; there are different types of hay (timothy, oat, meadow, rye etc..these actually even have different nutritional compositions so it does make a difference what you feed-some hays help rabbits gain weight ).…[Read more]

Ah thank you that is so so helpful!
I haven’t seen the fibafirst sticks and they look great – I don’t mind they’re expensive a) I love him and b) dental will be more expensive 😂. He does indeed mainline his biscuits so they’re popped in a cat treat ball to make him work for them a little bit!
The breakdowns are really helpful too, thank you, I’…[Read more]

I dont have experience with elder buns so take my suggestions with a grain of salt!
I do have a wooly skinny bun that I used fibafirst sticks with. They are a complete “pellet” but ideal for encouraging gnawing the longer fibres in its composition need to be actively chewed, promoting dental health over pellets which can usually just be scoffed.…[Read more]

I imagine the results won’t be very speedy considering everything else that going on in the world right now. Hopefully you will get them back soon. Thank you for the update on Hunny. It sounds like she’s still hanging in there!

It all comes down to the bunny’s preference, right now I’m trying a new type of bedding every few weeks to see what is the most effective. Last month I used Carefresh, and this month I’m trying paper pellets. Next month I hope to try pine pellets as they seem much cheaper.

maybe try a larger litter box? My rabbits foster owner complained of him going outside the box, but I’ve never had that problem with his large cat sized litter box. He does leave stray poops around though, gotta secure that litter training.

Louie! 😯 😆 I’ve had to bribe my bun’s with some treats when they went into little corners, too, lol. 🙂 OB had an adventure a few days ago, she climbed up the couch and sat on the counter. She then ran down and a few moments later came back up. Smokey and Silver were pretty disinterested in it though. So it was OB’s private little island 😆

Hello all,
I’m trying to litter train my rabbit and as recommended I put a litter box in her favorite pooping zone. However, rather than pooping IN the litter box, she is consistently pooping to the left, right, and in front of it lol. I’ve tried putting some hay in it on one side to tempt her, and she does climb in it sometimes – but never to…[Read more]
