I have thought the same but I think it’s best to let my rabbit do it how he wants since it’s good space.

I have a very large twine chest with an entry hope cut out for his litterbox. I also have a fabric hay dispenser tied inside.

I expect he will be just fine. While walnuts and other nuts are not good to regularly feed rabbits due to the fat content, they’re not toxic. So half a walnut will not cause harm.

Perhaps you can show your Mom some other foods she can give when your rabbit begs. Some fresh herbs or other healthy treats you might have. 😉

Yes, I’ve been giving her Alfalfa based pellets but she doesn’t even bother eating them. Should I switch to alfalfa hay because she only seems interested in eating hay?

How does the skin underneath look? Any redness or flaking? If the skin looks good my instinct is that it’s prob a molting pattern too.

One of my bunnies is going through a real rough molt and looks like she got in a fight with a weed whacker. 😮

It is important for her to be eating pellets at this point because she is growing and needs those nutrients. Are you offering alfalfa-based pellets? Those tend to be very popular with rabbits.

Maybe just a weird molting pattern?

I’m not sure how old exactly my new bunny is but she is definitely smaller than Kovu was when we adopted at 8 weeks old. She’s been eating hay nonstop and drinking a lot of water but she barely touched her pellets.
