Ah ok, thank you so much. They usually have parsley so I’ll keep that on their diet. They used to have romaine but my vets advised me to stop because lettuce is basically nutritionally irrelevant? But they do love it so I can always reintroduce it. Well slush loves it Luna has never had lettuce.

Thank you so much for all your suggestions, I understand the importance of eating hay, that’s why I am concern. I will try to come up with several ways to “find” hay, hope it will help. Can anyone post a link to hay toppers.

If you want to be really economical, pine litter is dirt cheap. You can by equine or wood stove (without accelerant) pellets for $10 and get 40 pounds of pellets. I’ve got two buns, and it lasts me a solid year.

Whenever I order from chewy.com, they have lots of brown paper in their packages, and I like to shred that and use for days when I’m running out and can’t get more right away!

We are just testing various forum functions, because a lot is different since the forum went through remodelling last year 🙂

I second these playpens, but I also second these worries. I used to live near a park and brought my boys a few times. They loved it, but we made sure to keep them in a pen that had a top to secure them from any potential sky predators. We also stayed as far away from people as we could and used a blanket so they wouldn’t nibble on the grass.

Not really a diet without veggies. Veggies are important, but they just need to be the right kind of veggies. Just an FYI, some parks use pesticides or chemicals in the grass, so I would be cautious with a bunny at the park. I would also beware of dogs or other animals in the environment that could be predatory or cause stress to your rabbit. Some people like to buy pop-up puppy playpens because they are quick to set up for giving a bunny outside time.

You can. But I would be wary of the ink getting on their paws.

You could try a hay topper to get him interested. Dried willow leaves, oat flowers, dandelion, mint, chamomile, etc.
