Good luck with the bun you hope to adopt! Honestly, the best thing to stop a rabbit from spraying is most likely getting him fixed. Fixed rabbits maintain much better litter habits, and also show fewer aggressive and territorial behaviors. Your friend could try to place a wall covering of some sort? Maybe she could hang a tarp along the walls.

I would wait until the French lop was fixed before a speed date, for after buns’ are fixed, their scent changes, so then it could potentially be like starting all over again.  I agree with @Asriel and Bombur, waiting a month or so so that they forget each other, then doing bunny dates, is a good idea. 🙂

I agree with Bam. Grooming other objects is a proxy to licking you. It doesn’t necessarily need to smell like you. The grooming behavior was triggered (probably by your presence) and then she proceeded to lick whatever was closest to her. Have you tried sneaking your hand in there? LOL

It is definitely worth digging into for legitimacy, but I try to think of cooling techniques that require some sort of water evaporation for rabbits, in addition to the ideal “cool the entire space they’re in”. Does you cat have multiple boxes? Some cats are incredibly picky about their box and it might help to have two for the cat if you don’t. You might also try a different litter in the second box to see if the cat prefers it. If you are using scented cat litter try unscented, you can also try crystals, paper, wheat litter.

Dorian is a licky bun, and he likes licking fuzzy things a lot… so I could see clothing and especially stuffed animals falling into that category. Maybe your bunny just likes the textures too? I think it reminds them a bit of fur.

When you have cleaned her and dried her, you can put a small amount of barrier cream on the areas that are most exposed to pee. The barrier cream (sudocream, bag balm, vaseline, bees wax salve) will protect the skin from the detrimental effects of moisture to some extent.
