Ben just happened to have a nail trim scheduled today and I’m happy to report that the Dr listened to his tummy, which was nice and gurgly, and also examined his teeth and they were good. She’s an exotic specialist so I feel very much better now 🙂

Hmmmmm, does this happen at your own home, or does he go over to spend the night with the pet sitter?
Rabbits are very scent oriented. I’m wondering if the care-giver might smell like a dog, or they may just smell very different. It sounds fear based to me, since it happens when he is alone. Also, is your home very quiet when you are gone? Maybe…[Read more]

Hello!
My rabbit is one and a half years old, free roam, vaccinated, neutered and has had a history of aggression. He cannot be with other rabbits, we have tried and failed to introduce him to a buddy but he is not willing to give it a try. The vet said to let it go.
However he isn’t aggressive towards people. He’s very loving and requires a lot…[Read more]

It is a desk with a rolling desk chair and I have a dog crate set up at the end. He has run of the whole room but I keep his litter box, food dish etc in it. I uploaded a photo to Pinterest here’s the link https://pin.it/3ToV5Tq.

I have a climber, but he isn’t very brave when it comes to hoping anything higher than a foot. So I have just learned to move things up, ideally on stools with narrow legs so that he has nothing to help him climb up. If that doesn’t work I put a fence around it. I am trying to figure out how he is climbing into a desk though. Can you describe your…[Read more]

I made a snuffle mat for my bun of a black rubber shoe mat as the foundation grid. I aired it out for like a week on the balcony, because I wasn’t pleased with the smell. My bun doesnt have a cage though, so he isnt in contact with the mat 24/7. He has it on top of a cardboard box in my bedroom now.

If I had more room, I would adopt all the bunnies, but I live at home with my family, and my room, while it is large, doesn’t have room for a ton of bunnies. There are so many cuties at shelters (somewhat) near me, and I can’t wait until we find Louie a match!

Ahh, I had a whole response written out and my computer died 🙁 Charlotte is so gorgeous! My local shelter doesn’t have very many buns, but a few that are about an hour away have many, we’re going to some speed dates this weekend. The doe I have my eye on for Louie just got spayed yesterday, and in a few weeks we can go introduce her and Louie.…[Read more]

Moonlightbunny66 replied to the topic What do I put at the bottom of a pen? in the forum DIET & CARE 6 years, 2 months ago
@poopscoop12 Sorry I meant to say I would put it on top of my other layers of things like memory foam bath mats. Fleece might be okay as cushion but it might be more slippery, I’m not sure. But I have hardwood floors, so something underneath would be better for their paws. I also bought waterproof foam shoe mats but they’re kinda smelly like a tir…[Read more]

One of my bunnies has started climbing into my desk and I don’t know how to stop him. Has anyone else had this problem? How did you deal with it?

Well, since the bunny will have it’s face near it all the time, I would think about whether it would bother you to be smelling it 24/7. I would give it another day or so to air out and then see what you think.

The cubes have hay that is in very short pieces that is super compressed into a hard block. The stacks are less compressed and have longer strands, so you could actually break up a stack and fluffy it up to be like normal hay (not saying you would do that though, as it would kind of defeat the purpose). That wouldn’t work with the cubes. So the…[Read more]
