For litter I’m going to be using horse stall pellets which is like $8 CAD for 40lbs. Super cheap. You can make diy toys with cardboard or paper lunch bags and treats. People on here also use baby toys like hard plastic stacking cups and plastic baby keys (not the teething ones). You can layer things for flooring like memory foam bath mats with a…[Read more]

Do you think maybe she’s picky with hay? You could try other types like orchard grass or some treat hay. If she eats that then you could mix it into the Timothy hay or just feed her orchard grass.

I’m so sorry. I hope you can get to a vet soon. Have you read the first pinned topic in this forum? I don’t know anything about rabbit seizures, there could be many possible things causing them. But that hemorrhagic disease is something to look into, because seizures are one of the symptoms listed.

Also can I still buy hay from the farm feed store here? Thanks.

@dananm Thank you so much! Where is a safe place to buy my veggies from? My mom has a garden that she said I can use the lettuce and kale for my rabbits. We do have a lot of wild rabbits here and they come and eat from the garden. I live in Ontario Canada so this should be okay, right? The garden won’t last forever though. And that’s good that the…[Read more]

I see. I have been keeping an eye on him and he eats hay then drinks water and he probably eats hay again. So I am starting to get worried since he never did sth that way. Actually, he never ate hay that consistently. He is eating lots of hay now and after that he drinks water and he be like chilling and do it all over again. 😁

OOo you got bunny butt pout.   I had to give up on clipping nails, my eyesight has gotten so bad I can’t focus that closely anymore.  So I take the kids to my vet.  It’s pricey, $20 per Bun, but worth it to save my eyes and their toes.  Added bonuses, my vets office ADORES my bunnies, especially Loki, and the bunny ire gets turned towards them…[Read more]

He IS!  10 months, next week, and 18 pounds.  He bonded to little Dawn immediately (She insisted), and has been the best Big little brother to her.  She’s his little Big sister, and we’re all very confused here.

His favorite place to kip is in his litter pan, it’s a concrete mixing pan and he takes up half of it.   When he’s not on the Dini…[Read more]

She’s never had them before, it’s a brand new pathology.  She recently was dragging her hind feet, but that was diagnosed as Spondylosis with sore hocks.  She’s since recovered.  I didn’t know Dwarves were more susceptible.  She’s been in excellent health her whole life.  Doing some sleuthing, I noticed her seizures started the same time I brou…[Read more]

    Hi thanks for your answer!

It happens both at my house or at my parents. We do not own any other animals. I usually spend at least a few days with him at my parents house in the hopes to get him to be as little stressed as possible. It only started when I moved out of my parent’s house with him.

I usually leave him with my parents and the h…[Read more]

It is perfectly normal and very good for a bun that eats hay to also drink water. Hay is very dry. Buns that eat lots of hay drink a lot more water than buns that eat mostly fresh grass and other fresh greens. A rabbit that only eats dry food, needs to drink at least 100 ml (cc) water per kilo body weight and day.

My bunny who is 1 year old lop is drinking water every time he eats hay. He would be back at eating hay again after drinking water. It was difficult to make him eat hay and it has only been a week that he has started constantly eating. His usual diet now is timothy+orchard grass hay, leafy vegetables for 2 times a day and 2 tea spoons of versele…[Read more]

    They are not really tasty!!
This is what happened- I had only access to low quality pellets, they had no hay in the ingredients.
I needed to give her something so this was the choice for the moment…

But then I found high quality pellets (what she eats now) and as you can expect the reaction from her side wasn’t great
