Unfortunately I’m not familiar with the lettuce you have pictured, but romaine and green leaf are the usual staples and are generally the “safest” vegetables (i.e. when a rabbit may have a sensitive stomach, romaine and green leaf are usually vegetables that virtually never upset a rabbit tummy!).

I just found out they mostly eat romaine and green leaf lettuce. So Iāll get romaine but introduce some other lettuces.

Yayyyy! They told me they can definitely send some home with me! 😊 I feel like I should give them a donation for helping me. Theyāve only got three buns listed for adoption on their site right now. Not sure if they have any other animals. I could get something for their bunnies? Hmmm

We have these lettuces growing in our backyard. They are called black seeded Simpson, and red riding hood. My mom said they are leaf lettuces. Are they safe for my bunnies? The animal rescue Iām getting the bunnies from didnāt specify what kind of lettuce they feed them. They just said lettuce. So Iāll introduce them slowly if they are safe. Itās…[Read more]

Hi guys,
Cocoa has been on Panacur for 3 weeks now and he doesnāt seem to be getting better :(. Itās been over a month since he hasnāt been the same. He still doesnāt want any hay or his food but will go for greens and fruit even though I barely give him any fruit, itās just so hard seeing him get excited for it and not be able give him any. @Louiethebun (+Lola!). She is beautiful!! Look at them snuggling, I hope it’s a match made in bunny heaven! Their colors are very complimentary, it’s like chocolate and caramel. How are you dealing with 2 pens? Have you had them visit with each other at home yet. What are you doing for neutral territory? Was she the only bun he met up with?…[Read more]

Just ask them. šĀ I’m sure they buy giant bags and asking for a small amount (like a sandwich baggie full) won’t be a problem. Consider that if you weren’t adopting these buns they would still have to feed them. š

Hi!
So I live around a small lake and on the paths around we have a ton of willow. What kinds of willow are safe? I heard somewhere that white willow wasnāt safe but I canāt remember if thatās for hamsters or rabbits.
The kind we have looks like this:Ā

Itās a weeping variation. Does anyone know what specific kind it is and if itās safe?

@LBJ10 Thank you both! Iāll work down to 1/4 cup then.
@DanaNM I thought about this, and Iām hoping they do give me some of their pellets to do it. I would feel kinda bad asking though, because theyāve still got three bunnies left. I wouldāve bought the brand that theyāre feeding and just continue feeding them that, but I donāt t…[Read more]

Based on these symptoms I think a vet visit would be in order. It could be an ear infection, or it could be traumatic injury. An ear infection can impact balance. A bun could hit its head jumping or running around. I remember a case here on the forums where a bun missed a jump and hit its head and developed partial facial paralysis. The owner…[Read more]
