    Oh ok! Thank you!

    Hahaha Alfredo really loves eating them, I’ve never even seen a single one before yesterday!

    Either is fine but I’ve read that you have to be careful not to give them to many meals of veggies/ pellets a day so they will continue eating enough hay. 1 or 2 meals a day is perfectly fine just make sure they always have access to hay 🙂

    Here’s a screenshot from Medirabbit’slist of safe analgesics, regarding dosage of metacam.

    Medirabbit (trusted source) has the enrofloxacine dose at 0.5-15 mg body weight. 25 mg gives your bun a dose of 10 mg/kilo body weight.

    If your metacam is 1.5 mg/ml, the dose your bun is getting is low. 0.4ml only gives her a dose of 0.23 mg/kilo body weight. The lowest dose medirabbit has is 0.3mg/kilo body weight. Rabbits metabolize meloxicam…[Read more]

    Hey every bunny, I’ve been giving my bun free time in the morning and afternoon and my bun likes to go in the small crack between his pen and the wall. I’ve tried blocking it, but then he figured out he could jump on the window sill and get over the wall. The trim back there isn’t bunny proofed so he likes to chew at it. How do I prevent this?

    Thank you everyone for replying. It really means a lot. I’ve an x-ray for the heart too, which I’ve uploaded, what I’ve read is the heart needs to be less than 60% of the chest area, but I really can’t make out the difference, I even tried comparing to 5-6 different images but nothing. I compared all X-ray of the dental area and definitely some…[Read more]

    Is it fine to just feed veggies in the morning or just at night? Or is it bad if they just eat them all at once? I’ve been feeding them veggies morning and night since I got the bunnies on Sunday. But I’m wondering if once a day will be the same. Or is it safer to do twice a day to make sure their digestive systems keep moving well? Let me kno…[Read more]

    @Wick Oh, okay. Thanks!

    @DanaNM Thank you! Yeah their pellets are getting switched slowly right now. I’ve been spot cleaning the litter boxes everyday since I got them. It smells better once I clean them but one of my buns drinks a lot of water so he pees a lot.

    I was better off looking on my phone & zooming in.

    Just linking this page for you as I think it can help us rabbit owners distinguish some things we are looking at with x-rays.

    While it is not ce if Bam to say I have exp with reading x-rays, I honestly feel confounded by them usually and need vet to explain what I’m seeing. I guess I’m somewhat familiar with some dental X-rays and facial abscess due to seeing those wiry few of my own rabbits over 10 years?? But I am not trained to read them. Like anyone, I can find oth…[Read more]

    Im sorry you are dealing with but I must say, well done on getting her fed and keeping the gut moving! And well done knowing that oral amoxicillin would have been bad. Your girl is in good hands with you.

    Would the vet in possession of the x-rays & blood results be willing to consult with a rabbit specialist online? I know there are some online…[Read more]

    I thought they were fully bonded, and they have been doing great, but today I saw Theo hump Calliope. I have only seen it once, but I have heard Calliope run away a few times and I am guessing that is why. It hasn’t resulted in anything but I am nervous because if Calliope were to hump Theo, he gets quite mad and I don’t know what might happen if…[Read more]

    It isn’t unusual for young bunnies on a rich diet to produce extras. They aren’t a concern unless they stick to their butt and cause poopy butt issues.

    Hello, I am absolutely stuck and have no idea what to do. I have two unspayed does who I have recently found out are carrying pinworms. I am at a total loss as to how to administer their medication. It’s through a syringe. I’ve tried various burrito methods (between the legs, under the arm, two people, etc) and none of them have worked. They jer…[Read more]
