Wait, she doesn’t like naners? You need to go and get a refund, she’s obviously not a bunny! 😉

I’m very sorry. 🙁  Abscesses can be tricky. But they are certainly treatable in most cases and shouldn’t be a death sentence to any rabbit, especially not a three year old. As far as I know, there is vey little chance to get rid of an abscess with just medications, as those are usually given after the surgery to squash any remaining bacteria.…[Read more]

So I’ve had Baylor, a four month old Netherland dwarf, for 3 days and I am wondering how many poops is normal per day. He seems to have a lot, but that’s a good sign that he’s eating and his gut is healthy right? I’ll attach a pic of his litter box after 1 full day.

Bam replied to the topic EMERGENCY! My rabbit has not eaten in 8 days in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 6 years ago

You should not feed her during the night. According to my vet, buns need a good night’s rest just like the rest of us. When my bun relied solely on CC for food, I fed him 15-20 ml CC every 3-4 hours, but not during the night. As he got better, I only fed him 3 times per day, now 2, but he eats quite a bit of rolled oats, grass and fresh leaves…[Read more]

I’ve another question, how many times a day and how much critical care does she need? At what intervals should I be feeding her?

Right now I’m feeding her every 4 hours and it’s taking a big toll on me 🙁

I haven’t slept for more than 3 hours at a time for the past 10 days. Could someone please tell me if it’s okay to feed every 6-8 hours also?…[Read more]

I have one rabbit that will not stop nipping me. She isn’t spayed yet and her hormones are raging a bit at the moment (I can’t wait for September 1 when she will no longer have these raging hormones 😯 ). Anyways, I have yelped, I have scolded, and nothing. All of my other rabbits stopped way before this point but she does not care. I love her…[Read more]

That noise is too cute! Bonnie is very adorable as well! I read this thread this morning, and tonight I heard Louie make this sound as I pet him, which is new, I’ve never heard him do it before!

The first day or two I had Lola, I had a few bouts of onion poops too, I just opened the window and had the fan circulating the air to the window, the smell can be pretty bad, but hopefully it dies down soon as well as your new bunnies’ hormones, because as I recall, they were recently neutered.

Louiethebunny replied to the topic Litter and Cage Cleaning in the forum DIET & CARE 6 years ago

I dump my rabbits’ litter boxes every other day, it’s the best way for me to know I’m not wasting too much, and by the third day their litter boxes will probably be very soiled, so every other day works great. My routine for litter boxes is dumping the litter boxes into garbage bags, then tossing the liners from the bottom into a separate bag. We…[Read more]

Louiethebunny replied to the topic Pooping right beside the litter box in the forum DIET & CARE 6 years ago

Louie’s foster owner mentioned he would get poop and pee out of his box when we were in the process of adopting him, and when we went to pick him up we noticed how small it was. Some rabbits just need a bigger litter box, Louie and Lola both have large cat sized litter boxes and Louie’s litter habits are great, we’re working on Lola’s. Having high…[Read more]
