@MichiganRabbits Rabbits are prey animals in the wild, so picking up them often can be scary. But, you could let him come to you, sit down on the ground, put a treat in your lap, and when he hops on you, you could give him pets. Although, I wouldn’t do too many treats, for you don’t want an overweight bun. 😉

I groom my buns daily, for it is…[Read more]

Baylor is a 4 month old Netherland dwarf. I rescued him from a family that didn’t want him anymore because their cat kept attacking him and their toddler wasn’t careful with him. He is the cutest! He loves his oxbow pellets and his hay! However he also likes to chew the trim, so we make sure to block it off with NIC grids. Here are some pics!

Here’s what it says about the materials: Made in USA. Material: untreated, unfinished baltic birch plywood – we source formaldehyde-free plywood bonded with soy based glue. Natural wood grain irregularities/spots should be expected (nature’s beauty).

I got Baylor, a 4 month old Netherland Dwarf, last week. He seems to be warming up to me and rushes over to me when I walk over to his pen. I’m wondering whether I should start to pick him up often so that he gets used to it, or should I not do that. Also, when should I start to groom him? Should I only groom him while he’s shedding or each wee…[Read more]

My bun named Baylor (who’s a Netherland dwarf) shakes his head often when I let him out to play. I’m confused if this is like a mini binky or something?

A lot of hutches are actually made from plywood because its a relativley inexpensive medium. Birch is rabbit safe, so it isnt the wood that is the problem its actually the glue used in manufacturing. However from what I know most plywoods use non toxic glue that’s relatively safe and actually dissolves in water (which is why plywoods get wrecked…[Read more]

Hello everyone, I know that most plywood’s are bad for bunnies but have never heard of birch plywood. There’s a bunny castle made out of this, knowing that my bun is going to chew this I want to make sure that this is safe for her to ingest. Does anyone know about this, is it safe for rabbits to ingest? Thanks.

A while ago I put together a small list of edible flowers, particularly ones that are nice additions to the garden :

Both parents have typical short rex fur and no topcoat. Can’t really tell with Panini because baby fur.

Chin chiller, that’s it. The edges are smoothed out so even if Alfred tried to nibble on it she shouldn’t be able to ingest it.

I’ve never heard of them either, the only thing I can find are New England Cottontails. It doesn’t look like they have the typical Rex fur. I agree with LBJ, they look like New Zealands or possibly Flemmies. They’re cute either way though. 🙂

Getting attention from another little furry critter instead… sat up beside my rat cage and they keep licking my fingers & pulling on my sleeves through the bars. Love them, but not what I’m trying to accomplish right now!!

Yeahh I’m thrilled how much she’s warming up already! I’ve opened up her enclosure and sat near it on the ground, just on my laptop, just seeing if she’s curious enough to come out and check me out yet (: when we had to put her on the bed to take the door off of the inner part of her enclosure (the inner part is a covered large dog kennel, not…[Read more]

I have 2 cat tents and all of my rabbits like them. Of course they’re 3/4 destroyed now, because bunny, but it least they’re soft and safe to hide in. I also get good responses from boxes.
