Eating the cardboard scratcher is kinda the point! they will chew at them and reshape them as a project. Unless she is eating a really huge amount I wouldn’t worry.

Rapid growth typically points to an aggressive tumor, but abscesses can grow fairly quickly sometimes. Abscesses are difficult to drain in rabbits. Their pus is so thick, it just doesn’t drain like it does in other animals.

They were both neutered recently, which means their hormones are probably all over the place right now. Plus you gave them each a taste of freedom and then took it away. You were asking for it! LOL

What does his diet consist of? It’s a long shot, but some rabbits are more sensitive to diuretics than others.

Poor Teddy, I’m sorry he’s not feeling quite right. 🙁  Maybe it’s gas? Oscar often gets gassy when he’s shedding and Simethicone always does the trick. I don’t have any experience with cisapride, unfortunately. I hope he snaps out of it quickly.

I think teaching tricks could be really good, she is pretty smart so maybe tricks will help burn off some of her extra energy. Thanks for the idea!

Also, I do have cable covers on the wires. She was nibbling at the wire covers so I rubbed soap on that so she wouldn’t nibble anymore. Definitely no bare wires in the room she’s in!

It seems Hunny is having an off-day, today. She is hardly touching her chopped greens and only taking occasional bites of pellets. 50% of rabbits carry this parasite so I would be interested to know why he has immediately ruled it out if he hasn’t tested for it.

It’s always a good idea to have an actual vet appointment though. Let us know how it goes!

@HipHopBunny I will! Yeah maybe. I tried making him a dig box today and he played with it but also peed in it… Maybe I’ll try to just give him more space lol. Thank you. 🙂

I wouldn’t worry about your other buns. Many bunnies carry this parasite without ever getting sick, and most are born with it from their mums. Some vets will recommend treating all bunnies, some will just recommend treating the sick one.
