Sorry no one has replied to this! I’m not sure, but have alerted other moderators who might know.
Is it losing fur? My first thought was maybe fur mites or ringworm.

Baylor is such a Flopper! He flops over all the time, I even have it on video! His favorite places to flip are by the door, and on cold surfaces (tiles & the cold vent)😂 -

Thank you so much! I don’t think he will appreciate the belly rubs as he hates being held and has been manhandled for 2 days lol he just took his metacam and is splooted out, and has been nibbling consistently since he got home.

It sounds like you are doing a great job so far, my only suggestion is more patience, maybe try a little LESS (play hard to get! LOL), and possibly train her to go into her carrier. The fact that she will relax near you sometimes shows that she is starting to trust you. 🙂 That way when you need to catch her for nail trims you don’t need to chase…[Read more]

Poor baby 🙁
As long as he’s pooping and it isn’t totally liquid, I wouldn’t be too concerned. Mucous in poops can happen after stasis, and he also could have a bit of cecal imbalance. You might see some weird poops while things come back online. Medications can also cause buns not to eat their cecals, so it could have been a mushed up cecal that…[Read more]

I actually moved this thread to the bonding section as it’s a better fit there.
Here’s the bonding template: https://binkybunny.com/forums/topic/bonding-template-read-me-for-bonding-help/
Some other scattered thoughts in giving this a more careful read, in bonded pairs it is often hard to tell who is dominant. Often each will show some behaviors…[Read more]

Hi LBJ, could tumors grow within a span of 5-6 days?
My bun has gone into antibiotic induced diarrhoea, I’m giving her subcutaneous fluids and metrogyl, she’s having bloat too, I keep massaging her tummy but as soon as I stop, gas begins to form again. If anyone could help please
We have given simethicone and probiotics, should we be feeding…[Read more]

LBJ10 replied to the topic Stray bunny – advice please! in the forum THE LOUNGE 6 years ago
We often recommend confining a new bunny for a little while so they have time to settle and become familiar with their new household. If you brought this bunny in before your roommate moves out, you could keep him in a small enclosure for that week or two. It would give him him to adjust before he is given free reign over an entire room. I would…[Read more]

Maybe? It’s hard to tell. I think I heard some quiet gurgling when I was last with Hunny. Not as bad as when she was on orbifloxacin, but gurgling heard for the first time since we took her off that antibiotic the other week…I tried rubbing Hunny’s tummy, but it didn’t seem to make too big a difference.

There’s no such thing as phone books anymore… but they do make a good bunstruction project.

My girls are 4.5 lbs and he is 5 lbs. Between the 3 of them they get a heavy 1/4 cup of oxbow garden select twice a day. Unlimited local hay, they go through bale of hay (timothy/orchard mix) in 2 months. A nightly plate of greens, base of Romaine, green or red lettuce and at least of 2 other greens. Depending on the season, baby bok choy, turnip…[Read more]

Perhaps she ate too many greens too quickly after not eating very much (of them) in a long time? Is she acting like she has gas?

Hi @Alaska‘sMom
Sorry, you are going through this difficulty. <3 In truth though, 4 months isn’t that long at all. Could it be that she has been in a scary home, or is it that she is just timid? Timid rabbits tend to take more time to form a bond with you, but when they do, it is a beautiful bond. Some buns bond right on at the start, and others,…[Read more]
