p.s. Circling back to the CBD discussion in case others read this: I just read that there may be reason to avoid CBD while taking cisapride. The Canadian Drugbank.ca says ” The risk or severity of adverse effects can be increased when Cannabidiol is combined with Cisapride.” After more research online, it seems that what they’re referring to i…[Read more]

Yes cottontail is Pete’s mumma. I feel like she had a couple female rabbits also? Or after Pete passed?

Hazel, I tried to name him Yeti but she was stuck on Bazil. Cottontail….trying to tie the BB name to the real person name….that’s not Pete’s mom is it?
Hey Jersey! Guess anything is possible especially since MB has a new bunny (actually has two but the new bun is another biggie — a young flemmie). I just had a fb memory pop up of a bun pi…[Read more]

Bunnies, chins, fish, a certain cat, and even a bird (I think I have a situation here — words forever etched in my mind and stashed in my mental favorites folder lol). TL has a huge heart!

@JackRabbit Thank you.
@jerseygirl He really does look like Wick. Lol. Joey has been great. I thought she would be a bit territorial because she gets mad if anyone goes near her cage. But she’s been super laid back with him. I haven’t started really bonding yet as I’m waiting to get him neutered which is proving to be difficult during COVID. But…[Read more]

Oh Sonn, he’s adorable! He is Wick’s twin for sure. Too funny!
How has Joey been about him now that he’s in the home? I’m sorry if you’ve already said. I’m quite behind on everything.

Hey TL !
oh gosh, there was a lot to catch up on. I teared up a little reading that Sidney & Tanger had passed on. I suppose I should know on some level that a lot of your buns would be in their golden years. Fleury is a champion! Nice to see him again and still with a bunny buddy. I don’t quite remember Zoe. I will need to see more pics of t…[Read more]

Sending luck your way… Louie and Lola are sending their bonding luck to you… and agree with Hazel, no photos is a severe offense.

Louiethebunny replied to the topic Keeping bunny out of couch in the forum BEHAVIOR 6 years ago
My bunnies share a bedroom with me and we don’t have a couch in the bedroom, but if I ever get one, I will definitely try this if the two little mischief-makers start chewing it. Ahh, the extents we go to for our bunnies. If they weren’t so cute and precious, they’d be harder to forgive.

Louiethebunny replied to the topic Lingering territorial poop smell… or scent gland cleaning time? in the forum DIET & CARE 6 years ago
I haven’t dealt with scent glands yet, but Howcast has a video about cleaning rabbit scent glands. I guess you could just check Fable’s scent glands, it’s apparently pretty obvious when they need to be cleaned.

I would guess it would be the same a young rabbit, minus the alfalfa and young rabbit food.

Louiethebunny replied to the topic Chewing at night in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 6 years ago
Lola decides chewing is her favorite nighttime activity, she is a HUGE CHEWER, I’m guessing because she was in a rescue where her toys were limited, she likes to get her teeth all nice and ground down, and loves all the toys she now gets. Her favorite chew toy is an apple log, but at night it is so darn noisy and she pushes it up against the xpen…[Read more]

Wow, it’s nice to see some members for few years ago!
I hope life has been kind to you all.
JR, I feel like Megabunny popped her head in on a thread a few months ago. But I don’t trust me memory AT ALL.
I do think of LEL a bit and keep coming across photos if hers in older threads. She had some very cute piggies. She from upp…[Read more]

Wick & Fable started the topic Lingering territorial poop smell… or scent gland cleaning time? in the forum DIET & CARE 6 years ago
Fable has always had very… potent, oniony poops. She is spayed, so either it is who she is or being with Wick that makes her still poop those territorial, oniony poops. However, I’ve become more aware of how potent the smell is. Sometimes she’ll leave the litter box and hop over to me and I can smell it very strongly, and I’m unsure if it’s…[Read more]

Wick & Fable replied to the topic Chewing at night in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 6 years ago
Rabbits are typically very active during portions of the night. Both my rabbits do most of their hay eating during the night. So rather than giving them something to hide in, you need to think about what you can provide that allows them to get out that energy while still letting you sleep. Perhaps you can have night-time chews that are a bit less…[Read more]

My bunnies will chew their hidey houses at night which is loud. They used to have cardboard ones but now they have log ones. They’re still loud to chew on. Its hard to sleep when all you hear is the sound of chewing on wood. I thought about maybe using a towel or something and hanging it so they could hide in that? Idk if that would work but I k…[Read more]

Bunnies are the cutest, especially when you rub them just right, and they make that expression of pure contentment “Oh yes…keep rubbing” 😆
Hmm, since he isn’t eating much hay, maybe you could minimize his pellet portion a bit? So then he’d have a more of an appetite for hay? I’ve heard of this trick on here and thought it sounded like a…[Read more]
