    Hi all,

I REALLY appreciate everybody’s replies and comments as this definitely has been worrying me for the past 2 months.

Bam – Thanks so much for your thoughtful reply.Β  It definitely looks like I may need to cut out greens if the greens keep causing Snowball’s poops to go moist.Β  Snowball is relatively good weight (definitely not o…[Read more]

@HipHopBunny, thanks so much for your response! I have been picking up the poop and placing them in the litter box – I will continue to do so, and try to keep my patience! I am looking into rabbit savvy vets and trying to get her neutered within the next 2 months. I hope it will help! Thanks again!!

    Hi @Anis

I’m so sorry you are going through this problem. πŸ™ Spaying will definitely help, this could be her way of showing that this is her territory, since you moved, she might feel as though she needs to establish that. What could help is to pick up her poop and put it in her litter box so that she gets the message that that’s where she…[Read more]

As an update – I ended up blocking off the area that she likes to poop in entirely EXCEPT for the litterbox itself and she’s been doing perfectly fine. A larger litter box would probably have done the trick, too; when I opened that area up again she started going next to it as well as in the box so I guess she really had just designated that whole…[Read more]

Danny replied to the topic Highly considering a bunny, but worried about the smell in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 6 years ago

My rabbit Audrey-Hepburn is unspayed, but she doesn’t really smell, even though we live in a carpeted apartment. It probably helps that she’s the only rabbit in the house (so not super territorial). She’s pretty well litter trained too, and I use paper shreds (from junk mail and old print outs and the like) as litter which does need to be changed…[Read more]

I recently flew from CO where I got my bunny and spent the last few months there to my NYC apartment. The flight went really well and she’s adjusting quite well. She is 5 months and is litter trained – didn’t have a problem at all in her new space. However, she is constantly pooping on my bed when she is on it. She hasn’t peed on it at all, just…[Read more]

Thank you. πŸ™‚ Yes, she’s hopping around on it fine, it just bothers her a little bit sometimes. Didn’t know if I was being an over-worrying bun mom. *Sigh* Poor girl. πŸ™

Yay! That’s so awesome! Would love some photos if/when you bring her home! What I did for my bunnies’ xpen bottom, (we have hardwood floors) was basically sewing two pieces of thick canvas-y fabric together leaving an opening with velcro to shut it, and I then stuff a folded tarp inside. It’s been working great, the tarp it to protect from…[Read more]

Maybe you can try to trap some of them, or seal up your home. Here is an article I found.

    https://dhss.delaware.gov/dhss/dph/files/cockroachcontrolpi.pdf

I’ve also heard of a bug spray called Zevo, and it says it’s safe for pets when used as directed, but if you do use it you should do so sparingly and far away from your rabbit and avoid…[Read more]

Please note that there are flea remedies that are toxic to rabbits. The compound you most definitely want to avoid using anywhere near rabbits is Fipronil. It’s deadly toxic to rabbits. It’s sold as Frontline and Sentry and has several other market names.

Hi, I’m sorry if this is in the wrong place and that it’s really long but I’ve had no acknowledgement on other sites and am looking for any sort of help.

TL;DR: I was wondering if anyone has experience with a rabbit that had issues with reoccurring GI stasis.

My rabbit, Fuji, is 5 years old and started having digestive issues around January of…[Read more]

I agree with Hazel, he looks like a rex. Broken pattern is common in that breed.

If bunny will let you hold him, you can check down there. If testicles are present (bumps above the genitals on the abdomen), then it’s pretty obvious you have a boy. But the absence of testicles does not guarantee he is not a boy. πŸ˜‰Β  If you can’t get a good look…[Read more]

Yes, she’s moving around fine, except, she can’t scratch her ears sometimes, and still can’t flop certain ways. Thank you for your response.

Is she hopping around OK? Like, does it seem to prevent her from moving around?
