Your reaction and its ability to encourage or dissipate the behavior, I think, depends on the rabbit’s intent for nipping. For example, if a rabbit is nipping for attention and you walk away, this would discourage them from doing it in the future; however, if a rabbit’s intent is to nip you to go away, then walking away would then encourage it,…[Read more]

Thank you so much for the reply 🙂 I hadn’t thought about giving his regular food in my hands too but that’s a great idea. I tried this morning already for his breakfast and I thought he would snatch a piece of lettuce from me and eat it on the other side of the room like he tends to do with treats but the whole thing was out of my hands and in…[Read more]

Dorian the Explorian out and about! 😉 I can’t get over how handsome he is. You gotta tell him to stop sleeping with his eyes open, he’s freaking out the elephant. 😆
Oscar: “MOOOM!!!”

Me: “What?”
Oscar: “LET ME OUT! THERE’S SOMETHING UNDER MY BED!!!”

Oscar: “Teehee, works every time. Thanks Big O!”

Anis started the topic Molting? Missing fur in the forum DIET & CARE 6 years ago
Hi all,
Since Anis is my first rabbit, I am extra cautious about everything because I only want the best for her! I believe she is currently molting right now – I brush her and a ton of fur comes out and fur comes out very easily. However, today, I noticed that there is a patch where I believe some hair is missing. Is this part of the regular…[Read more]

Yeah, retreating would technically give her what she was trying to achieve, so it’s not the ideal solution, I brought it up as an alternative to physical punishment. If you get bit you will jerked your hand away automatically anyway (giving her what she wanted), so at that point walking away won’t do any more “harm” in that regard, it will however…[Read more]

Yeah I know for a fact I fucked up the way I told her off initially, I know aggression isn’t good it was a anger panic moment and I wasn’t thinking. After the initial leg biting I googled it and was advised to head pin to stop her attacking me so thank you for that information I feel terrible for the way I’ve treated her and it’s clearly not pos…[Read more]

Agree with everything Wick said.
Also, please stop trying to punish her for being aggressive. First of all, it’s not directed at you, but the other bunny that’s invading her territory. Second of all, rabbits don’t respond to physical punishment. While they do live in groups, they aren’t “pack” animals like dogs so they won’t bow down to the alpha…[Read more]

Thanks everyone! 😆 Yeah this hay is more hard and rough, the Oxbow had more soft pieces. Gotta be something to do with that. More fibre?
Also thanks rabbitlover908, it took me a while to decide what to call them! 🙂

Hey there! Thank you for replying 😊
So Luna and her sister was spayed as soon as they were old enough as they were originally from an breeder 💛 the third bunny we will be collecting in 1 weeks time. Both new bunnies are little boys who will definitely be neutered as soon as they are old enough 💛
she has seen him (against my better judgement)…[Read more]
