Thank you much for the advice. Luckily I managed to find an animal hospital that takes bunnies. It was a 1 and a half hour drive but it was best I could do.

He was diagnosed with GI stasis. They took him in and did a full body exam. They found no other issue aside from GI stasis.

I know one of our members (no longer active on the forums) just recently gave her bun a sanitary shave with they type of cutter we normally use for our own bikini shaves 😀 She took great care to not go too close to the skin because you don’t want to nick the skin, obviously. You could also maybe try mixing a little unsweetened applesauce or critical care in with it, so that it’s yummy. Or maybe putting a little banana on the end of the syringe – although if it has a strong taste that might not work as well.

Will you be able to be in the room when they do the exam? If you are, you can bring a towel or blanket that she can sit on during the exam. Vet tables are very slippery and shiny for sanitary reasons, a towel under the bun makes the experience less awful for the bun.
