    @HipHopBunny

Thanks! She just made a quiet squeaky noise as she’s sleeping. Why is that. Is it an issue?

Awwww! 😀 She sounds adorable! Yes, my ladies do it all the time, they’ll just flop over on their sides and start snoring. 😆 (to be fair, it’s only Silver who snores 😉 )

Pics would be much appreciated! 😛

Okay. Since she’s eating her pellets, taking treats, running around, playing with her toys and munching on hay i think she’s good then? Do you guys think she’s fine?

My new bun Esther does something that I assume is just one of her quirks. What she does is she starts to to fall asleep in the middle of something. For example, she was licking her foot then she kinda dropped it, started closing her eyes, and readjusted into a loaf and fell asleep. I assume this is perfectly fine and is just her being her. What do…[Read more]

It is very good that the gas gets out! It’s a great relief for a bun, gas is painful for them.

It is of course not good that he has gas, but as long as the gas gets out, it won’t harm him. It is  important to try and figure out why he gets gassy, my guess is it has sth to do with him not eating enough hay. As Dana pointed out, it would be a good…[Read more]

LOL true, sometimes it feels like I’m looking after toddlers who don’t know that not everything is edible. Thanks, I think he’ll be okay!

Thank you so much for pointing this out. I found some of the old oxbow hay in a paper towel tube that was uneaten in Muffin’s pen. I gave him that and he ate some and now he’s drinking water! I also heard him fart a second ago omg. Is that good or bad? I gave him 0.25ml of the Simethicone drops this morning on his lettuce.

I remember there was an Italian lady who got a hefty fine for walking her turtle in a park during covid lockdown. Hopefully turtle-walking restrictions have been lifted now!

We’ve just had 2 days of the loveliest summer weather, we went swimming in the sea and kayaking on water so smooth it was like molten metal to look at. But today autumn…[Read more]

Rabbits don’t need a reason to eat strange things. Or maybe they do have their reasons, it’s just that us mere humans are too dumb to understand rabbit logic 🤣

I agree with Dana, a tiny piece is unlikely to cause trouble. The good thing about rabbits when they eat non-food items is that they tend to chew everything very well into tiny, tiny…[Read more]

Sometimes a bun who gets hay only will lose weight until a good weight is reached, and then it maintains this weight. It’s a very good method to get a rabbit to an ideal weight.

It’s very good to weigh your bun weekly and keep a weight diary! It’s very difficult to see fluctuations in body weight because they have so much fur, and fur density…[Read more]

Some buns are very picky with hay. ATM it’s not a good time to give buns fresh grass in many places on the USA where there’s been RVHD2 outbreaks. Hopefully the vaccine will be made available to all rabbit owners in the USA, as it has been for about 4 years now in Europe.

Intil then, its about trying different types of grass hays, (different cuts…[Read more]

Thank you. 🙂 He still seems like he’s in a bit of pain, but I’ll see what the vet thinks today. And he’s still only eating a little hay.

    Sounds like amazing progress!!

I think trying a 4-6 hour session (or longer if you’re up for it) would be fine at this point. Sometimes you might notice they get antsy after several hours. Having new toys to add to the pen at that time can help, or other things to chew (new sticks, fresh hay, some greens to share). If you do decide to cut the…[Read more]

Muffin bit off a piece of this tag. It’s kind of like a fabric tag. Is this okay? I cut the rest off so he can’t eat it. I’m not sure why he did, he got excited… It’s from the blanket I clip on the x pen as a roof. I think he swallowed it because I can’t find the piece. First he ate tape, then plastic from a hay bag, now a tag…
