Bam replied to the topic Possible lump above nose in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 5 years, 11 months ago
It’s not a stupid question,of course! A bun’s skull has various grooves and ridges, so maybe its just her normal bonestructure you are feeling? Both sides of the head should feel roughly the same. Weird molt lines will appear on buns when they shed, but are more easily recognized as molt lines in buns that have different colors of gurd hair and…[Read more]

I noticed this when she started shedding a couple weeks ago. I can’t tell if it’s just the hair coming out so it looks like a bump. I’ll try my best to describe what it feels like: If I were to pet her starting with her nose, it’s level with her nose and when it gets a little before in between her eyes, it dips in, turning into her forehea…[Read more]

Well, now Silver is just mean to both of them. 😥 How can I make them bond when I don’t have much time! 😥
Thank you all so much in advance!

Hey! I started bonding my two bunnies today. They are both fixed and i have a female (hermaphrodite but she has a dewlap and acts like a female) and a male. The bonding has gone really good and they have been cuddling and grooming each other non-stop! The only problem is that my male is humping her a lot. He is also honking a lot. He was neutered…[Read more]

Aww everyone’s bunnies are so adorable! 😊 I still haven’t gotten the hang of posting pics so this is an old one I posted on a question a little while ago. I just love her little face in this one 😁

That’s great to hear, I didn’t know their hormones were doing that!
I was trying to do bonding sessions but 10 seconds into every try they’d start nipping. 🙁I’ll do more swapping then!
Thanks a lot for the response. ^_^

Hi Captain Jackie! 🙂
“Spaying surgery was one month ago, both are spayed”
The first 4-7 weeks after being spayed or neutered, rabbits will go through what we call a “post-spay craze” where their hormones are high, so will be more prone to be set off. 🙂 I would wait a few weeks until that settles down, then I would start some prebonding…[Read more]

Starlightbunny replied to the topic what kind of rabbit are these 2 in the forum THE LOUNGE 5 years, 11 months ago
Yeah the first looks like a lionhead mix of some sorts. Maybe lionhead/mini lop? Kinda reminds me of my fist male lionhead I had.

I was just wondering if anyone else has a bunny who LOVES getting their tummy petted. Mine always demands tummy pets. Lol.

Spay
Spaying surgery was one month ago, both are spayed.
Housing
They live in X pens side by side, with enough layers in between that they can touch noses but not bite. Each pen has a hiding place in it.
Bonding background
They’ve been living in the same house for 3 months now.
They get very tense around each other, and then start circling a…[Read more]

@Wick Absolutely! Not necessarily looking for recommendations, but it is interesting that other owners have a similar experience! She has an appointment with her vet to go over her condition and make sure things are okay. She is constantly eating hay, just not timothy. She has a flare up if I change her hay to timothy opposed to orchard grass…[Read more]

(long post)
I made the mistake of having Pinky and Muffin’s x pens too close (there was a gap but Pinky moves his pen around with his nose). I didn’t think it was close enough that they were able to bite but Pinky managed to bite Muffin’s nose (more like a scrape with his tooth, didn’t drip blood). I think Pinky was just hyper since it was feeding…[Read more] -

Welcome to BinkyBunny Denise! To begin, I’d like to make a quick plug that the discussion of intentional breeding is strictly prohibited on these forums, so if your hope to have a doe and buck is for breeding purposes, that cannot be discussed on these forums. I notice your picture shows them being housed outdoors. Our forums are very much catered…[Read more]

@Brianna – I encourage you to start a new topic if you’d like recommendations and ideas to help your bun. I don’t think it’s possible for timothy hay to be a cause for gastric distress, with exception that perhaps the rabbit doesn’t like it very much and therefore isn’t eating a lot, leading to bad outcomes since it’s not eating as much hay as…[Read more]
