Starlight also loves BB oat hay mini bales. It’s good for keeping her regular as she is prone to GI stasis and also good for keeping her teeth worn.

Moonlightbunny66 started the topic When to introduce food in bonding sessions in the forum BONDING 5 years, 11 months ago
I started bonding Pinky and Muffin on Monday with a 20 minute long session in the bath tub. I plan on switching locations into my dad’s office when the sessions will be over an hour (because we need to use the bathroom). Yesterday’s session was 45 minutes, today’s will probably be the same (as long as Muffin isn’t sick).
I have a post in this fo…[Read more]

DanaNM thank you! Yeah it seems to be going well so far.
I hope it’s not an upper respiratory infection! They were both finally healthy… I’ll keep an eye on them.
Thanks.

Give hermaterial and allow her to build a nest It’is a deep instinct she has, and its stressful for her if she can’t act on it.
False pregnancies in rabbits resolve spontaneously. There’s really nothing you can do to speed up the process.

Hope this means the underlining of certain words dorsnt show once the post has been posted. This time the underlined “the” before “post”, but it didnt pick up the spelling error (“dorsnt” instead of dorsn’t). Today is a partially sunny day here but they’re predicting more rain tomorrow.

This is a test. Sometimes when you do a test, the problem you wanted to solve will not manifest itself. Although in this case, it did manifest. Now let’s see how it looks when I post this.

Piggybacking on this to test seemingly random underlining.

I second the hay from a farm. My Bernard was so picky about her hay, she won’t eat most hay that’s been packaged. But she loves orchard grass I get from a feed store. Also, like Bu20055 said, it’s a lot cheaper. I can get 45 pounds for $6.

Celia & Clover replied to the topic Pinky biting in the forum BONDING 5 years, 11 months ago
When I was bonding I gave them greens to nibble on (instead of eachother, lol). That being said, I didn’t start with particularly nippy rabbits. For what it’s worth, my big rabbit used to bite my little one if he stuck his nose into her x-pen when they were pre-bonding. He even ended up with a tiny bald patch on his nose for a day or two. BUT when…[Read more]

Hi there! To help give us a bit more info, can you fill out the “bonding template” that’s pinned in this section and paste it in your reply!
It sounds like your first sessions were not in neutral space? If that’s the case, it explains why they fought. You also just recently brought the new bunny home. For now, I think you should let the new bunny…[Read more]

That sounds like another positive session. 🙂
Not sure about the sneezing. If it’s constant it could be an upper respiratory infection. Hopefully the vet will have some ideas.

DanaNM replied to the topic Bun tantrum or just trying to scare me? in the forum BEHAVIOR 5 years, 11 months ago
My rabbits will sometimes get spooked by something and start thumping. My guess is she heard something you couldn’t and was trying to alert you to the danger. Or she couldn’t see you that well and you startled her! Or maybe you smelled weird for some reason and she didn’t recognize you. Often one of my three bunnies will start thumping and even…[Read more]

I understand, yes those signs would be cause for me to take my buns in as well. She could have been dealing with some gas. I can’t remember, have you been introducing any new veggies with her? Do you have simethicone on hand? You can also give a tummy rub when you notice signs of discomfort and see if that helps.
I’m wondering if you notice a…[Read more]
