I agree with Hazel, she’s becoming a hormonal teenage bun, but should settle in once she is spayed and recovered. š Try playing hard to get, it does seem to help. š
@Hazel Bun Jovi always licks the carpet and never me! Such a brat.

Hmmmmm, that’s a tough call. Have you tried Gwen with the other two? That might help you decide.
Rosie and Gwen might also benefit from a very long pre-bonding period and time as neighbors, based on your description. Is Gwen male or female? Sorry got confused since you said male, but spayed. If female, she could still be having some hormone…[Read more]

Haha! This hasn’t happened to me, but I have heard of this happening, where the bunnies just decide they want to be together and the owner finds them cuddling in one rabbit’s pen. It is very positive that they both went into the hidey house and there were no fights!

Moonlightbunny66 replied to the topic I wanted to recommend a litter pan in the forum HABITATS AND TOYS 5 years, 11 months ago
When my bunnies keep peeing and pooping in one spot I like to mix up the litter in the box. Then thereās unused litter in that spot, and itās cleaner on their feet and less litter wasted when I dump them out! š Just a tip I learned from someoneās YouTube video.
Iām glad your bunny is better now! I donāt know much about grates. Iām so scared of h…[Read more]

Moonlightbunny66 replied to the topic Mats to go beneath pen and protect floor? in the forum HABITATS AND TOYS 5 years, 11 months ago
Iāve been using plastic shower curtains with memory foam mats on them, then blankets (all from the dollar store). You really need you make sure you tuck the plastic shower curtains under the mats then cover it with the blanket so they canāt shred it. Mine only do this when thereās a pellet outside the pen theyāre trying to get. Pinky used to do i…[Read more]

I wasnāt looking for a second and Pinky managed to jump into Muffinās pen, squishing his hidey house a bit then went in his litter box and peed in it. I have blankets on top of the pens as the roof but Pinky decided today he would take the first big leap. Muffin just stayed in his house not caring and I used pellets to lure Pinky out. The x pen…[Read more]

I’m sorry you’re going through this. It is very well possible that it is simply an infection that Baytril is not effective for treating, in which case I would discuss other antibiotics instead, if the current course isn’t seeing improvements. My Wick went through 3 medications adjustments until we hammered down what was most effective. It ended up…[Read more]

Hazel replied to the topic Sudden Disinterest? in the forum BEHAVIOR 5 years, 11 months ago
She’s three months old, right on the line between baby and adolescent so you’re bound to see some behavioral changes (big and small). Babies pretty much love anyone and anything, which is why she was more loving towards you at first. As a teenager she will be a hormonal mess, and likely fluctuate between wanting attention and ignoring you or even…[Read more]

I wanted to start by saying we are seeing rabbit specialistĀ vet but the problems are persisting and Iām worried so I wanted to seek other advice also.
I have a young velveteen. He was born 4/11/20. Ā I brought him home at about 10 weeks. Ā At 12 weeks I had him vaccinated for RHDV2. At that appointment the dr said he may have an ear infection and…[Read more] -

I’m so so sorry for your loss. š I have lost two bunnies very dramatically in front of my eyes, and it is so traumatizing. After I lost Bunston, his death was all I would see when I closed my eyes for months.
But I did get past it, and eventually started remembering the good things and not the painful things.Ā It is very normal to feel guilt,…[Read more]

I understand! Yes a break might be nice then, especially before leading into marathoning.
In any case, if it doesn’t logistically make sense to start in one area then move,Ā you could always just try to start in the new room and see how it goes.
