Hi everyone,
we are back from the vets and he called our usual vet as well to describe the video. She still thinks it is arthritis pain potentially when he tries to consume a cecotrope. They have upped his metacam to 0.4ml twice a day.
No tumours or growths showed on any radiographs or X-rays and all looked normal. He is pooing and weeing fine…[Read more]

The straining and pain while trying to eliminate (and nothing off with his urine) makes me think there’s something wrong with his intestines. Maybe some kind of obstruction that’s causing pain whenever poop moves through. A tumor would be a possibility, or maybe it’s something similar to what happened to him before when things got tangled…[Read more]

@prince dorian no… not yet anyway. He isn’t neutered yet. I think after he’s neutered I will try a speed date with either Bonnie or the whole group and see how it goes! We are pretty much certain we are moving in with my in-laws mid-next month, which would be so conducive to bonding everyone more easily. All of that said, I’m still hesitant to…[Read more]

@DanaNM so did you get Cooper? I love those markings he has. BunJovi sleeping using the stand as a pillow is too cute.
@hiphopbunny – are they all getting along then? Congrats!! The last pic of the trio is perfect with the black, white and grey! & yay for Smokey getting on the chair! 😀
here is one more of Dorian

This is seems like it could be a controversial topic but I am very curious the differing thoughts on this. I am open to any and all opinions just please be kind as I am just figuring things out.
I purchased a pet sling carrier on amazon (actually 2 different ones to try out). The pictures of them are below (tried them both but forgot to take a…[Read more]

Hi
I got my bunny Khushi neutered 2 weeks ago. Before the procedure he was already litter training, but occasionally peeing on the couch. We thought he was marking his territory. He won’t pee anywhere else in the house.
After the procedure yesterday he proceeded to coming to the corner of the couch where I was sitting and peeing on me. And this…[Read more]

I too think this is just a matter of time and patience. Sooner or later, she’ll start to explore 😃
Pictures of her set up would be great.
I think we all wish our buns could talk at times!

It could be a fungal infection. I’d stop the chlorhexidine because it can, under certain circumstances, irritate rabbit skin and make matters worse.
It looks very red. Is it oozing? Do you see skin flakes that look like dandruff? Does your rabbit seem uncomfortable? It’s important that he keeps eating and drinking, which sometimes rabbits won’t…[Read more]

My bun appeared to lose a small tuft of fur yesterday from the back of her neck. Today, it has gotten significantly bigger. Tried cleaning gently with chlorhexidine from when she had sore hocks. It keeps getting worse, any ideas? I am going to call the vet in the morning, but there are no rabbit specialists in my area. Any help greatly appreciated.

He has screamed a couple of times in his life sadly. The first when he managed to tangle his gut when he was little (2.5) and they had to remove some of it. Then a few months after that (though nothing seemed to be wrong – emergency vet checked him out then normal vet). Then in Feb this year which they put down to arthritis as everything else was…[Read more]

I doubt it’s a UTI. Being prey animals, rabbits only scream when they think they’re about to die or are in unbearable pain. I think this is something more serious. 🙁
Keep an eye out for blood in his poop/pee.
I’m very sorry, I hope the vet can figure it out.

The X-rays and radiograph only showed it in his spine mildly and most of the day he moves absolutely fine and jumps around to the point that makes you think he was 5 years younger 😅
The emergency vet even questioned if we were sure he was 10 and did we adopt him as he had never seen such a well looked after rabbit and thought he was much…[Read more]

I think their setup looks great! I agree with Dana, a second floor to explore might add some interest for them.

I agree with Wick. If the fur is stained, there isn’t much you can too anyway except remove any excess dirt. He will likely take care of that himself with grooming and being in a clean environment. Then it’s a waiting game for his fur to “grow out”.
