Okay thanks. So 1/4 inch is small enough to protect from nipping?

I’m not sure about the nose guard panels, but if you aren’t able to find them you can also use small mesh (1/4″) hardware cloth. It doesn’t look as nice but does the job.

I feed them separately, but only because I use pellets as a way to get them to go into their condo when playtime is over, but I feed veg earlier in the evening. So it’s more of a tactical thing. 😉

The metoclopramide could cause some stomach discomfort when it sets the gut in motion. For this reason it is often given together with a pain killer. But it is also a drug that stops nausea, which is the primary use of it in humans. It’s however not known if rabbits actually can feel nauseous, since they cant vomit.
If you feel the…[Read more]

Update: it’s been almost a month since I first tried and almost 2 months since they were spayed. I’ve been switching pens with them for about a month. I had them in the tub today for about 30 minutes without them fighting. They were somewhat curious about their surroundings and instead of immediately trying to rip out each others’ throats they…[Read more]

Hmm my opinion is that these are the kinds of things you can do with a dog. Like if you want a companion to go outside with you or go to the pet store, a dog is great! Some people even put their dog in a purse if they’re small. I agree with the above posts saying that personality comes into play. But rabbits are high stress animals, they’re pre…[Read more]

Bam do you think that since she started the metoclopromide it’s not doing her any good ? I mean might she be reacting to it ? Because I feel that since I’ve been giving her that she just stopped and not bothering like she’s given up I had a flavoured critical care arrive 2 days ago ( Apple and pear ) might it be the change in that ? I just don’t…[Read more]

I’m very sorry things have not improved. You are doing an absolutely great job.
I’m sorry you are dealing with health issues yourself, and I do understand that this is exhausting.
Poop size is not very important right now, what is important is that there is poop. There’s always an amount of CC that ends up on the human (and the furniture)…[Read more]

Oh okay thank you guys!
Bu20055 I was watching one of BunniesOfTheBurrow’s old videos and she said she feeds them pellets in the morning and veggies at night because of it. I also read it online somewhere a while ago but didn’t think much of it until I heard it again. Not sure where the info came from!

I’ve been feeding pellets and veggies at the same time twice a day since I got Esther and it seems to be working well for us. This is how the rescue does it as well. I’ve also never heard that. Where’d you hear it?

I also never heard of that! One of my rabbits won’t eat her veggies unless there’s pellets, haha

Hey guys! We just brought home our new bun, Blaze, and Esther is being quite territorial and trying to nip through the the pen. Right now I have a little fence up on the outside of the pen, and I’m monitoring out times, but I’d like to get some nose guards to be safer and easier. Anyone know where to get them in canada?

Does she have a lot of good stuff to chew on? Like cardboard and apple sticks and bunny safe wood toys? They love chewing, so if she doesn’t have a lot of chew toys try getting her some.
