I’ve just started the bonding process with Nora, the sweet bunny out of my two girls. Actually it hasn’t even been much of a process – they’ve been getting along pretty great right from the start. She hops away from him sometimes but he doesn’t chase her, doesn’t hump, there’s been no biting whatsoever, nothing mean at all between them. There’s…[Read more]

So the little stinker surprised me tonight, I was sitting in the craft/ bunny room in a chair with her and she suddenly jumps down in a hurry and runs over to the corner of the room dropping a lot of poopies along the way. In the corner I could tell she was peeing and peeing a lot. I took her over to where the litter box is in that room and she…[Read more]

Hi guys!
Not bonding my gremlins yet, but planning on it after a good month or more of prebonding cage swaps.
I’ve seen different people recommending all kinds of things from stress bonding, to bonding in a small space to bonding in a large space.
I’m just wondering, what different bonding methods are there, and what do you guys rec…[Read more]

Oh gosh! Sorry for never responding Dana! Bun Jovi sounds like an awesome bun! Your post about his smushy-face sleeping killed me! 😆
I’ve got a few pics of him up in the lounge. I can get some more up soon 🙂

Thank you. She does have a scheduled recheck appt for next Tuesday with her vet. He said he wanted to see her again to make sure we are using the right antibiotic.

For oral antibiotics, the general “rule” is you see improvement in 48-72 hours. URIs can be stubborn though. If you don’t see any improvement in a week, it may be that the antibiotic isn’t right for the type of bacteria that are causing the symptoms. You should then contact your vet again. They may tell you to keep up the same antibiotic for…[Read more]

Can anyone advise me about how long it takes to tell if antibiotic is working? She started first dose Monday afternoon and has had 4 doses so far. I know this is really  only day 2 from when she saw vet on Monday. It probably hasn’t had enough time to do much yet.
Charlie was sneezing less yesterday but is sneezing more today and still has so…[Read more]

Four months is very young and few rabbit vets would attempt a spay before the age of at least 5 months. The rabbit’s size and weight is important too.

I’ll be sure and put the poopies she drops around the room in her litter box and if I see her raising her tail or find she is peeing outside box again I’ll move the box to that area.

Charlie is  close to 4 months old. Our vet wants to wait until the first of the year to spay since she is small and we aren’t exactly sure of her age. She was better last night.  She did not pee on us last night and as far as I can tell used the litter box in her room to pee. But there were poopies everywhere in her room this morning. That I can…[Read more]

Oh no she didn’t actually get IN the pen, just past the barrier blocking her from the outside of the pen. The whole interacting was noses through the pen. When he first got here Esther couldn’t even be able to even reach through his pen or she would go nuts trying to bite him, so the bar for being impressed is pretty low lol.
I’m hoping cage…[Read more]

That sounds very positive! It’s prob good that Esther got into Blaze’s pen, and not vice versa. Typically in the wild ancestors of domestic rabbits, the males will allow females into their territories (for obvious reasons!), but females will be more territorial.
I have heard reports of bunnies that are just crazy trying to get to each other, but…[Read more]
