    Pinky has been making a few brown spots a week on the blanket as long as I’ve had him. I was thinking it was from eating cecotropes. I was able to watch him up close while he was eating them and yeah there was brown liquid dripping out. Is this normal? I don’t think this happens with Muffin.

    Moonlightbunny66 started the topic tail chasing for pellets in the forum BEHAVIOR 5 years, 10 months ago

    Almost everyday when I’m getting the pellets (looking for the spoon in the bag and making those crinkly plastic noises) the bunnies get super excited. They’ll jump around then start chasing each other’s tails in a little circle. I don’t think there’s any nipping. Is this just excitement? Maybe trying to see if the other bunny has food in their mou…[Read more]

    Also my first rabbit that lived outside died last summer is there any chance she got this disease? If not I have no idea why she dies she was only 2 years old and I took great care of her?!

    My bun Bam got white hairs in his fur his last year with me. Because he was found abandoned, I never knew his age. I had him for 7 years and he was fully adult when I got him, so I’m thinking he got to be at least 9. He was a black lop.

    My Bernard has the same problem with peeing on any soft thing I gave her. I recommend getting a grass mat. Bernard can’t have beds anymore but she loves sleeping on her grass mat! And if he doesn’t like it at first, like Bernard, you could try hiding a few pellets in it so he associates it with food 😁

    Hi Lbj10

    <hr />

    I have discussed this with a vet and he said no its unlikely.

    The mucus is only present after a bad  episode of gas. So that’s more likely what is irritating her gut maybe?

    Her poos can be hard and dry due to her dehydration. Maybe it’s due to that?

    No new sounds in the house (from what I can tell). Nope, no trick-or-treaters around here. We’re out in the country, on the highway road outside a little subdivision (if that makes any sense- lol sorry it’s almost midnight) so nobody bothers coming to us.

    I don’t think that’s a thing in rabbits. Strange noises can definitely put a bunny on edge, especially if they are not used to hearing strange noises. Blaze is still pretty new to the household. So no trick-or-treaters outside? We’ve been hearing people outside all night.

    Mucus is a sign of inflammation.

    Hmm, I haven’t noticed anything like that. Changes in body appearance (i.e. not as “full”, but not skin and bones either) and gradual formation of cataracts can be seen in old bunnies. I’m trying to think if I’ve noticed anything else that would be age-related.

    LOL I’ll try to get one HipHopBunny!

    Meanwhile… I’m being continuously overwhelmed by the cuteness happening between these two. Fresno occasionally gets on Nora’s nerves by jumping in the litter box while she’s already in there (you’re too big dude, both of y’all don’t fit!) or getting in her face while he’s honking up a storm. He’s QUITE the…[Read more]

    I believe 300,000 iu/mL has to do with the concentration of the penicillin. It is not a dose. Dosage is determined by your rabbit’s weight.

    Just to clarify: 300 00u/ml per day for 25 days.
