Oh, great!
Well, there’s always a bit of dirt in the hay since its grown outside and hay is never rinsed. Like I said, I let my bun have outdoors time. I know several rabbit people who do. Buns with very long hair (lionheads etc) can need a bit of cleaning up after vigorous digging, but not full baths.
If a bun likes the outdoors, I find it to…[Read more]

UPDATE. The vet at pets at home quoted £150/ £200 which seems high compared to £50 I was paying with the old vet. What do most of you pay or does that seem high? I am waiting to get the price from Animate vets todsy who are going to do his teeth tomorrow

Thank you for your reply! We don’t live in North America and the vet said we don’t have to worry about RVHD. It is a private garden so its safe from predators or other animals. We don’t use pesticide either. Again my biggest worry is the dirtiness of the dirt, because like I said, I would eat off my floor but not the dirt.

This is definitely not a stupid question.
Many indoor rabbits enjoy some outdoors time when the weather permits. I have a run for my rabbit, where he can dig and eat grass and get daylight on him. He seems to appreciate this very much.
My rabbit is vaccinated against the dreaded RVHD virus which sadly has come to several places in the USA now.…[Read more]

I went back to vet who gave me a correct syringe and now I can see how much he needs. Best to be safe with medicines thanks for asking.

My rabbit is usually indoors. I clean the floors/carpets almost every day, we don’t wear shoes inside. Basically if I drop food on the floor, I wouldn’t be scared to pick it up and eat it.
Then there is the outdoor garden, with dirt and grass. There’s no herbicide or anything but it’s definitely dirtier than inside and I wouldn’t eat anything…[Read more]

Oh, what cuties!! 😀
Bonnie is watching enviously from the background, isn’t she? 😆 I’m sure once Copper is neutered, Bun Jovi and Myra will have a competition for the cutest snuggle! 😉

HipHopBunny replied to the topic Should I bond my spayed female rabbit with my new intact male bunny? in the forum BONDING 5 years, 10 months ago
I would definitely wait until he is neutered, for right now hormones will make it impossible to bond, and all the progress that you make will vanish as soon as he’s neutered, unfortunately. Waiting a few weeks after that even is a good idea too. For, after they are fixed, hormones will still be “floating around”, so it’s always good to wait for…[Read more]

<p class=”p1″>I have had my female rabbit for about 4 years and not long ago got another bunny who is male to be her friend. The male bunny is not neutered yet, but will be later this month. I keep their cages side by side with a little space in between so they can’t bite. They do go look at each other and sniff through the cage. I have a p…[Read more] -

So, I got a look at her tummy by picking her up like you said and it looks like her incision is open 😔 I’m going to call the vet in the morning to see what’s next. Poor bunn! She doesn’t seem to be in pain she’s been eating normal and excited for treats and everything.

Oh no, Dunna isn’t sick. It was my grandpa. He got so sick he couldn’t take care of her anymore so we adopted her.

Thanks Dana and LBJ10! I live in Toronto, so while summers can be humid, it is not relatively humid in the fall. I will look for moldy or musty looking areas just in case 🙂 Thanks for your input as always!!

Wishing you good health, and your friend a mild case! & yeah totally glad I have Dorian to entertain me these days, even when he is royally being a naughty bun! (to be fair he is just being a bun and probably think I am a horrible human for not letting him just chew everything). Hope Norway works out!
