When Pinky finds something he wants to keep to himself, he carries it in his mouth and runs to the litter box. He puts it down to keep it safe. It’s so cute but they’re not always things that are his!
One time it was a blue piece of tape I found in there, another time it was the syringe I used to feed Muffin his medicine (no needles! oral med…[Read more]

Hmmmm, does it seems like she is startled when you stand up? Does she behave this way if you move slowly and make a noise to let her know you are going to move?
I wonder if based on her history, she might do better with a smaller area of access, and less 100% free-roam hours a day at first. This is just a guess, but I’m wondering if she sees the…[Read more]

As long as her pellets have alfalfa in them you can start transitioning her to timothy hay.

DanaNM replied to the topic Help: My Bunny is Peeing on My Bed. in the forum BEHAVIOR 5 years, 10 months ago
I agree with Hazel, bed and couch -peeing is a really common problem. Some people have had success with putting a plastic shower curtain under a blanket as the “top” layer on the bed, as the plastic blocks some of the smell, so the bun is less likely to pee, and then your bedding is at least protected if they do. But I don’t think that would be…[Read more]

I’m so happy too! And she has actually been really sweet since then, so I’m wondering if maybe she had been starting to feel grumpy and uncomfortable for a few days before she was really symptomatic. Molts are pretty hard on her. 🙁
I gave them myself 😯
It was a bit stressful, but I was given the advice to “have a cup of tea and try again…[Read more]

How long have they been bonded? Sometimes it can take a while for box habits to improve again after bonding, and unfortunately some pairs never get completely perfect again.
Hopefully the confining helps and you can at least get the peeing under control! I know personally I can handle poops but cleaning up pee is so frustrating!

My Holland Lop bunny is about 3-4 months old and feels very underweight. I have little experience with Holland Lops but do know that they should weigh around 3 to 4 pounds when fully grown. He currently weighs 1 pound 8 ounces and when petting his back/sides you can feel his bones jutting out (ribs and spine). I received him two days ago and have…[Read more]

So grateful that you responded! Thank you! They are in singles, you said that means territorial, I didn’t know that! I have a little foldable fence/gate I’m going to try confining them in one corner and see if that helps. I do already have 2 litter boxes and my room is honestly pretty small, I definitely don’t have room for another so I’ll start w…[Read more]

Thanks Noodletherabbit. I asked the vet if it would help to use a water bottle and they said it probably won’t. But I can see what they think this time, since the issue came back.

Is it normal that my elop does not like toys? He doesn’t even like to chew on wood!
The only enrichment he likes so far is having his pellet breakfast in a slow feeder and going for walks.
He’s only 11 months old.
Any good food based ideas or how to limit these as well so he isn’t obese?

I do understand that this was very traumatic for, especially since you lost your girl rabbit so recently. The only “good” thing to be said about a situation like this is that you were there with him. It was horrific for you, but you stuck it out and didn’t leave his side. This must have been of comfort to him. He didn’t have to be alone or in the…[Read more]

Should be fine. I buy 50lbs bales for Oscar, it takes him 7-8 months to eat it all, never had an issue with it going bad. As long as it’s dry, it’s fine. 🙂

Awesome, I’m so glad she’s back to normal! 😀 Did the rescue give the fluids or did you do it yourself? I don’t think I could do it myself, putting the needle in and everything, ugh… 😯

Hahaha thank you!!! And just double checking, is it suppose to be really dark? I looked it up and it said it was a high in protein so I’m assuming it’s the alfalfa hay I’m feeding her, should I slowly transition to Timothy hay?
