USB nibbling! LOL She sounds a bit like my Cooper, he can be very needy and high energy! And yes a great appetite for hay is awesome.
You may be onto something with the boredom idea. Maybe she would like some enrichment toys stuffed with dif types of hay to keep thing interesting to her. It could be worth experimenting a bit with toys. All of my…[Read more]

If the skin is intact you dont need to clean them or put on ointment (unless of course if her feet are extremely dirty. Creams and ointments make the surrounding fur sticky and less protective, so they are best avoided as long as you’re only dealing with calluses, not actual sores. Foot baths soften the skin and you dont really want that if the…[Read more]

I don’t think YoungBun is stressed but I can see that she might be bored. She is still very high energy, extremely curious, binkys all the time, and if you don’t pay attention she’ll magically appear on a countertop or something. They have two stuffies that are completely ignored. She has never overgroomed/aggressively groomed herself and this…[Read more]

Have you asked regular pet grooming places? Some places can do / have experience with bunny nails even though they don’t advertise. Just make sure to check their prior experience first.

I got my bunny out of her cage to clean it and give her some free time the other day, since she loves being held I looked at her feet and noticed she has the beginning of sore hocks. I clean her every week and I put a yoga mat on the bottom of her cage to trying to prevent this from happening. I’m working on getting her in to see a vet in the next…[Read more]

Hi @BunMom4,
This thread is very old so you are unlikely to get a response; we ask members not to reply to old threads as it can cause confusion. Also, since the topic of intentional breeding is prohibited here, most members and moderators don’t have much experience with babies.
For a bunny that young, I really recommend consulting your vet with…[Read more]

Good to know! And yes it seems that bravery and fear are two sides of the same coin!

Oh this is so tough, we dealt with a bun like this in the shelter. He would groom himself to the point where he would cause open wounds. In his case it appeared to be anxiety related. 🙁
One of the rescue staff fashioned a little shirt for him to prevent him from grooming the hot spots. She had to keep him with her basically 24/7 because if he…[Read more]

If you free-roam an unspayed female and an unneutered male this is essentially a guarantee of pregnancy. Just as a reminder, the topic of intentional breeding is forbidden on this forum.
This looks like it could be a failed pregnany (miscarriage), the best thing is to have your bunny checked out by the vet as soon as you can. If she isn’t…[Read more]

It’s very difficult to overdose probiotics unintentionally. What the bun cant use just passes through.
