Im very sorry for your loss. She was very pretty! Its extra hard for us humans when pets pass so rapidly, its like you dont get to say a proper good bye. She got a good long life with your family, which is wonderful.

Thanks @Hazel, @DanaNM and @Bam! Appreciate the support! He’s such a sad little bun when he doesn’t feel well, especially he still wanted to do his morning snuggle and be close by. I am very happy he’s back to his usual self. I have never had the belly rubs cause cascading poos before, so that was interesting (so glad bun poos are mostly scent…[Read more]

GOOD NEWS! I’ll make her a little care package then and send it off. I could try and go threw it but she has a much younger bunny and could probably use the hay. Thank you for the advice!

Babies can eat timothy hay as long as they are getting an alfalfa-based pellet.

Yeah I can! Just wasn’t sure if I should, I could also donate it if that would just be the better option and order the correct stuff lol. I just wasn’t sure if I could use it up or not and while it sucks I ordered the wrong stuff, lots of bunnies out there need hay. My friend recently got a baby bunny about a couple months old. Could I mail it to…[Read more]

Could you get some more Timothy hay to mix in so the percentage of alfalfa is lower? Alfalfa can be given as a “hay topper” or treat to adult bunnies.

<p style=”padding-left: 40px;”>I ordered the wrong kind of hay and wondering if I’m still able to give it to my bunny who we think is about 2. It’s a Timothy/ alfalfa blend. The timothy is 75% and the alfalfa is 25%. I know they are suppose to have just Timothy hay but I feel like the alfalfa percentage is low enough I could get by.</p>

Arugula is fine to feed every day. What’s mizuna? Is that mustard greens? Those are high in oxalic acid.

LBJ10 replied to the topic X-ray for lungs if he's sneezing less? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 5 years, 9 months ago
Considering nothing could ever be heard in the lungs, I don’t see the reason for a chest x-ray. It sounds like a URI, not pneumonia.

I also agree, that unless there’s a reason to suspect a long-standing issue that will worsen if not identified or there seems to be a consistent struggle towards respiratory improvement, I don’t think you need an x-ray at this time.

It does sound related to molting. This happened with Myra and we’ve been getting tons of calls at the shelter. Seems like the seasons changing tend to cause issues like this for lots of buns!
Glad he’s perked up. π

I just left my bun 2 days to be with my aunt…my boyfriend had to feed her and clean her potty…she is sooooo mad at me!😂 We usually eat lettuce together (mixed greens…NEVER iceburg) but my little rotten snatched a leaf an stayed in her room giving me the side eye…like he didn’t give her pinch of oatmeal, handful of greens, and slice of…[Read more]

Hi guys! Found a mix from the store thatβs kind of like spring mix but with less variety and hardly any spinach. It has arugula, mizuna, a variety of lettuces and spinach. I picked all of the spinach out when I was washing it and made a yummy green smoothie. I was under the impression that arugula was high in calcium but I havenβt been able to fin…[Read more]

Bunny tax, I like it. π
I don’t think you need to get the x-ray as long as he’s improving. Peace of mind is worth a lot too of course, but as you said, there’s no guarantee the x-ray will reveal anything conclusive. Personally I’d hold off on it. π
He’s adorable! π

I’m glad to hear he’s doing better! π
Oscar often gets tummy troubles while molting. Simethicone has always done the trick so far, I usually give him 1 ml every hour, I don’t think it ever took more than two doses before he made a miraculous recovery. That stuff is almost magic, and very safe since it doesn’t get absorbed by the body. I also…[Read more]

Thanks @Bam! Yeah he is in his hay box right now chowing down, he ran around, re-adjusted all his tunnels and did some important cardboard destruction with some little happy wiggles for a bit too… so something got moving between the simethicone and the belly rubs, and what ever was bothering him is done. Maybe it was just that one poop chain…[Read more]
