Its very wise to have Panacur on standby at home. I think unopened bottles have a very good shelf life. I have have a just-in-case-bottle of the stuff in my bunny medicine cabinet, luckily I’ve not needed it yet.

Perhaps this more casual approach is the way to go. Maybe they were just having fun giving you a hard time at first. 😉

His behavior actually tells me he’s comfortable. We leave his cage open most of time in my daughter’s room & he comes in & out, goes in & out of her barbie house, checks out all surroundings, & plops down on her floor for a nap. He’s already been coming up to us, licking  us, & even does the same to our dogs through the cage.

Hmmmm, I do wonder if he would still mount while the car was running (it might be worth a shot, since they don’t fight). If you have someone else drive you can prevent him from mounting at first. You might also try on top of a washing machine while it’s running.
