Sunlight is good for rabbits, but they don’t need a lot of it, since they are crepuscular animals – ie they are mostly active at dawn and dusk.
Some people take their buns out in a stroller, which obviously needs to have a mesh top so sunshine can reach the rabbits.

Agree with Wick, it’s hard to know how it will go. Also know that it’s very rare for a bond to be completely impossible (about as rare as “love at first sight” bondings). Most are somewhere in between. Getting them spayed is of course the most important first step, and you’re doing that. 🙂
I think it’s best to plan for the worst and hope for the…[Read more]

Sorry for the late reply! I want to take them outside because I heard that sunlight is good and necessary for them.

I think you can approach the situation similar to any other bonding situation. Basic and foundational information can be found here: https://binkybunny.com/infocategory/bonding/
Whether or not a rabbit has been around other rabbits, I feel, does not really impact the probability of success anymore than the rabbits’ personalities. Patience is key…[Read more]

I know that bonding is tricky no matter what. If anyone has any insight for me that would be great.Â
I have one bunny at home that was rescued from outside, I’ve had her roughly 3 years. She is going to get spayed soon and I have another bunny at my workplace that I am rescuing because she has a previous eye injury (possibly caused by another…[Read more]

Does anyone do any kind of special holiday gifts for their bunnies/bunny? If so what are you getting? I’m going to get Starlight a new stuffed animal friend. She likes to groom stuffed animals lol.

That is great! I had no idea hat you cats and dogs have been introduced to them previously… my dog on the other hand is afraid of my rabbits! I don’t know why, but he just is. Good luck bonding your cat and rabbit! 🙂

The good news is that a neuter is far less invasive and easier to recover from. Are they still keeping him for three days? That seems excessive, even for a spay I would expect one overnight stay at the most.

I will say the fluid is no longer sticky which I think is a good sign but I am bringing her to the vet Saturday just in case 🙂

I agree with Dana. I wouldn’t be too worried, especially since he’s a bigger bunny. They just need some time to calm down and also for his hormones to settle.

How long have you had him? He may still be cautious about things in his new home. Sometimes bunnies are apprehensive about eating when in a new environment.

You could still say he’s a girl if you want. He won’t know the difference. LOL
Seriously though, nothing should change care-wise. And Toasty is pretty unisex, so I wouldn’t worry about it.

This looks more like a spinal deformity (birth defect). You see similar abnormalities in dogs.

It sounds like they mostly just scared each other but didn’t actually fight? To me that sounds like it’s not the end of the world. I would be more concerned if your cat had a very strong prey drive and had attacked him.
I think waiting till Hades is less territorial is a good move. This will also allow more time to sniff each other through the…[Read more]
