Hi all! my almost 5 year old mini lop (free roam) developed sudden onset hind limb weakness. she was low suspicion for injury so i figured neurological. Xrays showed degenerative disk disease and a bulging disk with inflammation. she has been on NSAIDS for 6 days. we are also treating for EC because my other bun had EC and head tilt last December,…[Read more]

Thank you for all the detail! I can certainly understand the internal conflict!

So, to start, I would not feel guilty if you choose to try another rabbit. In either case, you will be giving a rabbit a home and freeing up space in the rescue, and your goal was to find a companion for Mochi. The info you provide about Russel will certainly help him…[Read more]

I’m so happy he loves it! All of my buns go crazy for it, which is awesome. It’s just so nice to see a bun that’s been ill enthusiastically tuck into food!

I just looked up the package label and I think that’s the amount recommended per feeding/serving, and then you would feed him that amount 3-4 times a day if he wasn’t eating anything else.…[Read more]

Welcome to BB! You’re mentioning a lot of the usual recommendations. My first thought is if you tried the stuffy trick (stunt double) mentioned yet– essentially getting a stuffed animal and getting it to smell like the rabbit, then giving it to the other to let them get their dominant mounting out of their system…. It’s an unusual tactic, but…[Read more]

Wow! Thank you so much for the encouragement! He only requests grooms when she does and only sometimes. I spotted them in the middle of headwars today so decided to try the banana and it seems we’ve had a bit of a breakthrough. I mashed some very, very ripe banana and put it on both their heads and they gobbled it up! Male bun even started some…[Read more]

Hey all. We just switched Benjamin to Emeraid Herbivore. On the packet it says for rabbits around 4lbs a serving is 3 1/2 tbsp with water. Last night I mixed that all up and gave it to him over the course of 2-3 hours and he L O V E S it. He just can’t get enough. This morning I mixed the same amount and he ate it all within half an hour.

    My…[Read more]

Yes, Revolution is considered safe. Of course there is a risk of allergic reaction with ANY flea treatment, but this is rare. People have been treating their bunnies safely with Revolution for years. As Dana said, it’s best to put it somewhere they can’t reach it. The Revolution needs to stay until it dries.
