Moonlightbunny66 replied to the topic Pinky’s poop issue in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 5 years, 8 months ago

This is the third day without giving Pinky greens. Pinky left a pile of five large poops today in the pen. So he’s still having issues with the sizing of his poops. They’re lighter in colour, though. When I did the litter box today, I didn’t see many odd poops (some still ranging in sizes and shapes). What should I do from here? Yesterday he left…[Read more]

I’ll add too that I *try* to get him to eat as much hay as possible. He’s very picky. Very. He gets fresh hay grasses and unlimited apple branches, which he does a pretty good job with. I know fiber is the best prevention. I’m just looking for something else that might help.

my bunny frank has been struggling with tummy issues. He’s mostly doing ok but last night didn’t want banana again but did eat overnight. He’s eating enough I think, I’m not giving critical care but I give him simethicone when he acts suspicious and pain meds and reglan in addition if he’s really acting unwell.

my vet is on maternity leave and…[Read more]

crazylittlebunny replied to the topic need advice on whether I should neuter my rabbit or not in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 5 years, 8 months ago

There are two vets in my area that will do the surgery. One vet only neuters male rabbits and charges around $80-$90. The other vet both spays ($250) and neuters ($200) rabbits.

I did what you advice, I hope this helps them away from stress, negative and hate each other. I want them to bond at the end of the day and see each other happy running around, grooming each other. Thank you for the good advice i feel like it will help them. thank you so much for time and i really appreciate it! -sasha-

So I honestly don’t know if this is a behavioral issue but sometimes my bunny will start to pee the kick is legs into the air and get pee everywhere. I don’t know why he is doing this. He has even done it on my mom a few times. I don’t know how to stop it or if it could be because me is male and he wants to mark his scent. I want to know why he is…[Read more]

Hi everyone, I have read everywhere that you can give rabbits tea, but I wanted to make sure. I now that you shouldn’t give rabbits caffeinated tea like black tea or green tea. Or you shouldn’t give them tea with sugar. I have my own oregano, rosemary, and lavender plants and I was wondering if it would be okay if I made tea out of them to give to…[Read more]

Bun Jovi also seems to have a taste for rubber, I have to be sure to keep my rubber broom well out of reach!

Baby stacking cups and baby keys are pretty popular with bunnies that like to toss things around.

But it sounds like he wants to chew, just not the woods you’ve tried. You might also try the balsa wood chew toys. The wood is really light…[Read more]

It sounds like they are not quite there, but probably close. By circling do you mean tight circling (both buns head to tail), or one bunny running in circles around the other? The rule of thumb is 48 hours with no aggressive behaviors requiring intervention. Bonded pairs will sometimes do some mounting, but if it turns to a scuffle/chase/circling…[Read more]

DanaNM Thank you! Yes, Pinky jumped into Muffin’s pen when I took a day break from bonding sessions (he missed his friend). He also jumped over the pen blocking my bed a couple times after I blocked it off.

The lowest furniture is my nightstand that’s right next to my bed that he could use to get onto my dresser. I could maybe shift my dre…[Read more]

You can use a wooden board, just those cheap ones you get from the stores. Check out the video, I think it talked about that.

I believe I have bonded my two bunnies Khushi and Yujin. They seem to be getting along, however I witnessed two different squabbles. One was Khushi circling/chasing Yujin then Yujin proceeded to humping Khushi’s face. I hadn’t seem that behavior since they first met each other. It happened once and hasn’t happened since.

Just this morning I saw…[Read more]

    Hi everyone

So bunny is not nterested whatsoever in any of the wooden toys we have bought for him (nor in any of the furniture that is made out of wood fortunately!). Thing is that he goes boinkers for anything that is made out plastic/rubber – my yoga mats, the handles of his brushes, any phone cover he can get hold to, my pressure pont ball -…[Read more]

Had 2 different kinds of woodpeckers (downy and red-bellied), some doves, and some finches today. This was after I chased 2 squirrels away. I don’t mind feeding the squirrels, but the hog the feeder so no birds can visit.

Dana – I can’t imagine a sporting breed dog. The ones I have known were over-the-top rambunctious, but I don’t think they were…[Read more]

That method looks good, I’ll definitely give it a try! I do have my dad to help me as well, so I’ll probably have to recruit him no matter which technique I choose. Thank you!
