EC can sometimes present as stasis initially. I would suggest she consider EC as a possibility for both rabbits, especially since the one is experiencing hind end weakness/paralysis.
Treatment is relatively inexpensive. Panacur for 28 days, plus a NSAID to help with inflammation. Then supportive care for secondary symptoms.

Hello bunny owner,
My sisters two, 1 year old, mini lop rabbits recently got gi stasis. My sister works at a vets office and is able to administer fluids and give critical care. She already got her male rabbit out of it but her female rabbit is still very ill. She has been feeding them every hour and the rabbit is still willing to eat. Two days…[Read more]

Ashlee started the topic Rabbit hurt left leg and dragging it in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 2 years, 1 month ago
Hi there, yesterday morning I went to refill my rabbits hay (he is almost 12 weeks old) and he was kinda dragging his left leg behind him. I have no idea what happened. He then stopped eating, drinking and pooping for the next 5 hours. I took him into an exotic vet ER and they gave him fluids, pain meds and took X-rays. The vet said she didn’t r…[Read more]

DanaNM replied to the topic Advice on bonding a trio in the forum BONDING 2 years, 1 month ago
It’s fine to continue the same thread! Makes it easier to keep track of things.
So, it sounds like the first sessions with the two were not in neutral territory, which likely contributed a lot to the mounting/aggression. I really recommend doing all sessions in a neutral space, where neither rabbit has been. Otherwise things will be very…[Read more]

I would wait to starting bonding until the female is at least 3-4 weeks post-spay. Once she is healed from her spay (about 2 weeks after) you can also start doing side swaps. You could do them now, but since her smell will change a lot once she is spayed I think it’s easiest just to wait till after spaying (less marking to clean up as…[Read more]

Oh dear, that’s so frustrating! You definitely don’t need to be dealing with sore hocks on top of everything else with him 🙁

I just noticed a weird white Cauliflower looking thing under my rabbits chin it seems to be right where her scent gland is and she keeps licking and pulling at it every couple mins so definitely bothersome to her which breaks my heart, but other than that she is still active eating drinking pooping and peeing as normal. At first I thought it was…[Read more]

Hello, a few months ago my male rabbit (5 years) lost his partner/ brother. We now have a baby bunny who is now 5 months and we have had them living next to each other in a split enclosure. Any tips or advice for when we should start to bond them and now. The male rabbit is neutered and the baby rabbit is a female and will be spayed in about a…[Read more]

I think it will be OK to make a semi-quick switch. They are both the same brand, etc.

Probably last update until Luna’s re-check with the vet next week.
No problems at all. Cleaning up the hay piles has made Luna 100% use the litter tray for wees and mostly for poops. She’s doing so well, the wound is looking great, happy to let me pet her and hungrier for pellets than she was prior to surgery, which is fantastic. I need to…[Read more]

I dont think you need to do a very slow introduction. Just mix some old with some new over a few days -at least that’s what I’d do
If your buns eat a good amount of hay daily, they’re likely to be able to digest new type pellets without trouble. I bought a whole new type of pellet for my Snoa for Christmas, and gave them first as treats. I think…[Read more]

I got Oxbow Essentials Senior pellets for my buns, right now they’re eating Oxbow Essentials Adult Pellets. I know they were born sometime in 2018, I got them when they were just weaned from their mom so they were about 6-8 weeks old (I’m guessing) so they’re close to 6years old. So do I feed senior food now and do I slowly introduce it even…[Read more]
