Both the rabbits may start smelling a bit because they may be leaving territorial poops behind, which are smelly.
Another reason can simply be where he was prior to you and that environment. My Fable smelled bad when I received her. She smelled like cheap pellets, which was what she was fed incidentally and it was awful. After a while though, she…[Read more]

I also found some kids play tunnels on AliExpress that I think would fit Muffin. Would these be safe? I’m just concerned Pinky would chew it because he’s always interested in chewing their fabric carrier when I pull it out.

Someone’s post reminded me of the peeled grape vine balls and shapes. Are these safe? I’ve given them to my bunnies before (I thought they were just wood…) and they were fine but destroyed them easily lol! I saw them on the binky bunny store so they’re totally safe? I want some new toys for the bunnies!

Thank you! Another question. The female bun that I have has no smell, but for some reason the male that I just brought home today smells awful. He hasn’t even peed yet, so I am sure the scent is coming from him. He was just recently neutered on Jan. 7, if that is helpful information. I am wondering what I can do to make his smell better. Thanks!

Following each other can be from curiosity, it could be some aggressive stalking, but regardless it is an expected behavior at the beginning. If it evolves into lunging or biting through the pen, you want to limit the visual, but for now, that sounds like fine behavior.

Thank you! He is home! My current bun, immediately started to sniff him through the x pen. They sniffed and sniffed each other and have been following each other through the pen. Does this mean anything? Thanks!

I am so very sorry for your loss.
You did what a conscientious and loving bun owner will do for a girl bun. You did it to keep her safe and healthy. I’m so very sorry it didnt work as planned. You are not to blame in any way.
I’m glad your bun got to have you as her human. So many animals -and humans, too -will never know love. Your bun got to…[Read more]

I don’t even think mine is that slippery either… when I walk on it with socks it feels pretty grippy. I think Quin is just being extra dramatic but I kid you not she is still in her litter box and has only gotten out to drink water lol. You’re super lucky your buns have taken to it so well. 😭 Fresno and Nora have been laying exclusively on the…[Read more]

I’m so sorry for your loss. 🙁 I have heard of gut adhesion happening before as a rare side effect. It is so hard to lose an animal due to spay/neuter or any other medical procedure. You did do the right thing by deciding to spay, as cancer is almost a certainty, so try not to second guess yourself. I agree with the vets that it was very bad luck.…[Read more]

She was only 10 months old. I’m beyond heartbroken. The last month she had been getting on and off sick, almost went into stasis twice and her condition kept going up and down. We spent weeks with the vets, having scans, x-rays, everything . Still couldn’t find the answer, so treated symptoms each time and brought her home. Just 5 days ago she was…[Read more]

They are definitely a good one! They use them at the rescue I volunteer at as well. I think people also really like how well the company communicates about the ingredients and science behind the recipe.

So I just got this sheet vinyl that is like mock-wood paneling, and it’s a bit textured (it was also the cheapest one from the hardware store!). The buns don’t seem to have any trouble walking or running on it!
But adding some carpets and rugs that don’t slide should help!
I’ve also used that indoor/outdoor carpet that comes in rolls and is very…[Read more]

They are planning to neuter but prob not until he’s 2. And yeah I think they were thinking neutering would be this magic bullet that would calm him down but it won’t be.
Cali was trained by someone else. One option could be to see if one of his hunting friends could help, but I know they all use e-collars. I am not totally against e-collars, but…[Read more]
