I journaled the issues with Pippen, the foster I cared for with similar issues. It might be informative to read: https://binkybunny.com/forums/topic/pippens-gi-stasis-cecal-dysbiosis-maybe-dysautonomiaaeaeae/

Pippen had very acute symptoms that caused him a lot of pain. Pinky doesn’t seem to be in as much distress, which is a very good thing.

Thank you Bam. His poops have been abnormal since I got him last year in August, always different shapes and sizes. A lot of the time they were wet, a little improvement now from wetness. I think because I’ve been giving him less lettuce since he was off of it for two weeks to try figuring out the issue. I also noticed one time there was mucus i…[Read more]

Aww thank you! He is my cuddle buns, I still cannot get over his cuteness XD.

He is 4 Lbs , and has maintained that for the last 6 years.

He has never been a big eater, and will only eat if he’s starving. Michelle (his mate , flemish giant) is a chow hound XD

He was a lot fuzzier when he was younger, during the summer time I would then trim…[Read more]

It’s great that you’re seeing improvement! Bunny poop can be abnormal  for quite some time after a bout of stomach trouble, the importsnt thing is that there is improvement. It can be frustratingly slow though. When my bun was ill last year  I took pictures of his poop every day. It helped me see that he actually did improve, little by little.

    Hi everyone,

I currently have one lonely bunny. I’ve had her for about 3 years now and she’s estimated to be 6-8 years old.

I got her from a rescue. At her previous home she had been living alone but had escaped and got pregnant and came into the rescue with her newborn babies. Apart from them I don’t think she has ever lived happily with…[Read more]

Bam thank you. That’s why I’m nervous to give it to him. He still moves around and did a binky this morning, so I don’t think it’s necessary right now either. I’ve been giving Simethicone everyday morning and night for almost a week now, 1.75mL a dose. He still has abnormal poops, but some look relatively normal now.

    Hello everyone!

My rabbit is 4 months old and unfortunately as a lack of knowledge as she’s my first pet/rabbit I didn’t start brushing her fur until recently

I noticed hair lumps in her lower body half and I’m so worried because it looks strange and like it’s stuck completely in her skin! *Pictures provided below*

I tried gently brushing it,…[Read more]

DanaNM thank you. He’s still not really eating on his own. He’s still curious, moves around, grooms himself, and drinks water. We syringe fed him around 20 or 25mL earlier before letting him go. It’s still stressful for him. I’ll try that technique next time, thank you.

Cats do seem very good at recognising a rabbit as a family member, i e non-prey, once they have been properly introduced an the bun’s status as a family member has been established.

Its lovely that Gus will be free roam! As for the stairs, is there a chance he could stop being afraid of it and dare try going down them? I had a bun who didn’t seem…[Read more]

    Hey again!

Hope I don’t post too much on here.

So, Gus’ current setup (before his surgery, he is currently in a recovery pen) is in our kitchen. Our biggest issue was closing it off in a way that was still easily accessible for our cat and family. (Side note: our cat has never exhibited any predatory behavior towards him, if anything she very…[Read more]

Yes i tried 🙁 more times but no interest

Now I tried to make something like the diy cat scratcher so I hope it will be good.

But I’m little frustrated because I don’t know what she wants and I want to make her the happiest.

Have you tried sticking hay in an empty toilet paper tube? My rabbits love that and it’s basically free 🙂

Thanks @DanaNM! Could you please, clarify what kind of plastic sheet you meant? I’m a bit worried about leaving the bare floor, since I live in a rented apartment, and if he scratches it, or urinates on it, that might be a problem. Currently it seems he shifted his attention from chewing the rug to the newspaper. I want to remove all the remaining…[Read more]

Oh well you have the point here. She really doesn’t not like to chew moving things only the ones that are anchored down how you said.

Is there anything I can make myself at home from cardboard and it would be good for her? I was looking up some ideas but everything are just simple small toys like balls which she does not like.

    Hi everyone,

I placed an order on RatRations (mainly for my mice) and one of the things I ordered was their Leaf Diversity pack. They sell foods for a range of small animals and I was expecting the leaves to be safe for rabbits, but they don’t say and I wanted to check with you guys because I’m unsure about a couple.
