I actually ended up giving him a day off and by the end of the day he was being more normal and more normal the next morning as well so we’ve done a couple more dates. No breakthrough yet. I tried not going in the car today and Clover is being more bitey. Sigh.

The hallway would count as “semi-neutral”, so you could start with the bathroom as your neutral spot, and then once they are doing well there expand into the hallway.

They should be completely separated until they have been neutered and had two weeks for their hormones to settle. Then you can start pre bonding (switching items/cages etc) for a couple of weeks, then, provided all goes well, face to face bonding sessions.
