LBJ10 – Thank you for your input. The anxiety is killing me, so I’m taking some urine in to best tested in the morning. If that brings up nothing, I’ll be taking him in for a full exam. Oh and I forgot to mention, she just had surgery and we need to give her medicine twice a day. I hate to force her to do anything, but the vet at the shelter said that she needed it. We’ve been wrapping her in a towel, but do you have any suggestions on how to make it less stressful for her?

I’ve been using litter screens for years with no issues. The screen sits directly on top of the litter so there isn’t pressure on the feet like there would be if it was a wire floor cage.

I’m really grateful for the response. The page that LBJ10 linked looks really different from the ones with my rabbit. It’s hard, white, and really dry. I don’t think it’s ringworm.

But I will try your suggestion of cleaning the litter box more frequently before everything gets really soaked.
