Is your bunny a male and is he neutered? Tiny pee spots could be from spraying. Though I think females can spray as well.

Hey folks, wanted to run a question by you. My bunny has a rather large enclosure. I have not done a very good job of mopping it and want to start mopping it properly so it’ll be clean for her. I know to use just a simple vinegar solution as that is safe for her. But i’m in a conundrum about how to actually do the mopping. I figured you guys might…[Read more]

Hi, I have 6 months old Holland dwarf rabbit. I gave toilet training. But sometimes I see small drops of pee on the carpet. There’s only pee drops on the carpet in his nest. My bunny never does it to the carpets outside. Pee color is normal. I’m watching my bunny while it pisses. My bunny body posture while peeing is also normal. Veterinary checks…[Read more]

Thank you for the replies! I wanted to give an update. I ended up going with that thing I saw on Amazon and it’s working beautifully. I was worried it would be too small to get his mouth in but he’s drinking lots of water with it ! I installed a shelf on the side of the cage and drilled a hole for the nozzle. It’s perfect.
I wanted to add pictu…[Read more]

Hi everyone! While playing with my bun today I noticed a light pink spot peaking through his fur, once he relaxed I pulled the fur back and noticed what looked like a pink callous. (the camera flash makes it look more red in the photo then it does in real life)
My bun has been his normal crazy self constantly binkying and zooming all over the…[Read more]

Today I noticed a light pink dot buried in my rabbit fur on his heel, upon investigating I noticed he has what appears to be a pink callous.
However he is perfectly happy, binkying and zooming all over. Definitely no pain here!
His cage sits on a dog crate mat and when free roaming he is on a soft, plush carpet at all times.
However I have been…[Read more]

Borya02 replied to the topic Rabbit smell – HELP! in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 5 years, 5 months ago
The smell is getting so much better, thank you. Though I think this is a combination of both her urine health improving, as well as my own physical health. I do think I was dealing with some olfactory issues that was effecting my sense of smell. That is getting better.
I have ordered her those Oxbow urinary supplements, and she still has her…[Read more]

Well I’ve been to three vets with my rabbits and all agree about spaying. Actually I’ve never read it’s bad and always read and heard from vets and rescues how likely that females will get cancer if not. It’s not really a contraversial subject. I think a breeder would sadly not keep rabbits as real house pets long term to know.. a rabbit just…[Read more]

Ok so long story short last few months haven’t been the best. I started a journey to bond my bunny Missy with a half blind bunny from the petstore I work at who desperately needed a home but when going through the spay process my sweet girl Missy did not make it. I’ve had time to grieve, but I will forever miss her, she was a very special…[Read more]

i’m still doing research on the spaying, but i’m a little hesitant to trust HRS’ advice (from what i’ve heard from breeders i’ve talked to is that it is basically the PETA of the rabbit world; not trying to spark any arguments here, just stating my views on them). i’m not super trusting of the study DanaNM is referring to either, since to my…[Read more]

Thanks for the update! Glad to hear Rain is doing better. Hopefully she will like the new hay. And I’m glad to hear that your parents have agreed that therapy could be helpful to you. There is no shame in getting help and I think it will help you sort out the issues you have been having. I know Rain was causing you a lot of anxiety so hopefully…[Read more]

Hello! Sorry I got caught up with things and forgot to send updates. The vet identified that Rain had mild G.I stasis, and I think whatever gut infection she had last time hadn’t fully gone away. I asked her about potential root issues because of the aversion to hay and she said she’s pretty certain that it had to do with the gut infection and not…[Read more]
