McKJagger93 started the topic Bond my brand new bunny? in the forum BONDING 5 years, 5 months ago
Hello Everyone!
so I got my boy BonBon at a shelter, he is one and a half and neutered. Two weeks before I got him, his buddy passed away and he was lonely. I have had him for two months now and I think he is less lonely, but I can tell he is often frustrated with being alone so much. My local pet store does adoptions through a different animal…[Read more]

Ah great, you made me feel better.
She has short hair. But the only issue is she HATES getting brushed so it’s really impossible haha I only did it with lint roll.
Can I ask one more thing. Can she eat kale and arugula “everyday”? I mean like romaine lettuce. I am not sure what I can give her all the time.

“Double” poops indicate a slight gut slowdown. Poop size is good though, and it looks like she eats her hay like a good bun girl 🙂.
If you break open the doubles, there may be hair inside. If that is the case, you should brush her. If she’s normal-haired (i e not a lionhead or angora), you can lint roll her with a sticky paper lint roller after…[Read more]

Hi guys last two days or three are my bunnies poops like that. Some are quite small some are big. Here you can see some really big one like two attached together.
My bunny just hit her puberty, but I cannot get spayed her yet because she is still young.
She eats and behaves normally. She gets romaine lettuce, green lettuce, carrot tops, kale,…[Read more]

Bam replied to the topic Is this mould in hay?? in the forum DIET & CARE 5 years, 5 months ago
It doesnt look like mold. Mold doesnt have to be very visible though. It doesnt have to smell, but it often does. Could it be clumps of plant material that isnt grass, or peat/dried soil? It is a bit difficult to see.
Since the buns like the hay, I think Id just pick out the clumps. I’ve had hay that contained bits of moss and peat, but was…[Read more]

Hi everyone,
I recently bought a bale of horse quality timothy hay from a reputable feed company. The hay smelled great and my bunnies seem to enjoy it, and have no issues since beginning feeding it a couple of weeks ago. I always sort through the hay while breaking it up to make sure it’s alright to feed, and today a large clump fell out. I b…[Read more]

jmdb replied to the topic Help! Is this living situation OK? in the forum BONDING 5 years, 5 months ago
Thank you Dana, that’s really helpful. Monkey has calmed down a little over the last week – only peeing once a day at most and doing fewer poops around the bedroom door (but still quite a few!). She’s also easier to calm down and distract when she does start getting territorial, so hopefully this is a good sign! The only place she doesn’t poop is…[Read more]

Thank you for the update!
It is horrible to lose a bun. 💔
I’m so glad you kept Coco and that you have such a great relationship. As Ellie says, it’s proof that you are a great bun owner.

That’s a good point you make Hazel, rabbits can still go wildly hormonal later in life!
Our bunny Breintje used to live in my boyfriend’s room on campus, and my boyfriend never noticed humping and spraying behaviours.
Breintje was 2,5 years old when he came to my house, and that sweet playful bunny turned into a raging sex offender who peed…[Read more]

I remember you. Didnt you have a lionhead bunny at one time? Sorry to hear about your dad. My condolences. Thats great you can take mr bit. Your dad would be so proud of you and thrilled you did that. Glad to hear he is working out with the leash you made. You have had good responses on dog training videos. That so helpful. You take care now.…[Read more]
