A sleepless night gave it up at 7am. Went to throw gargabe out. On the way what to my wondrous 👀 should appear? 2 young bunnies. The smaller of the 2 hopped so cute and stopped several times. Then a young somewhat larger one hopped out and stopped they both looked at me. I was so exited but contained my glee lest i frighten them away.

My ruby was that way. Loved to cuddle. She didnt ever care to play outside. She just sat there while my other bunny ran all over the place. Was so funny holding rubys leash going nowhere and trying to follow cotton who was trying to run all over. Lol. Ruby ran in the house a little but. Nothing compared to Cotton. She was very laid back. Calm cool…[Read more]

Yes, he is eating and pooping well. The shelter said that he was a baby, and I don’t really know how old he is. Is there a way to tell the age of a rabbit?

Hey all,
I hope its okay for me to post this. Today we brought home our second bun, Lilly. She was just so gorgeous that when I saw her I knew she was the one. We did adopt from a shelter this time around, and will continue to do so in the future. All I know about her is that her previous owner surrendered her, she’s about a year old, and loves…[Read more]

Hsy is very important for rabbits. I would not recommend you only feed him hay if he isnt used to eating hay. It’s good advice for a bun that normally eats a good amount of hay, but acbun that doesn’t normally eat hay could very well refuse to eat at all if given only hay. A bun that refuses to eat will get seriously ill within 12-24 hours.

Hi there,
I recently did some research on airlines that allow rabbits because I was moving cross country (we ended up driving though), and Alaska Airlines still allows rabbits in the cabin, but you should call and confirm. They told me to call to book the flight, because they can only have a certain number of pets in the cabin per flight. I think…[Read more]

You should feed the greens too! My understanding is the whole plant has a lot of calcium, but again, it’s not really an issue unless you are feeding tons of it and you start to see excess calcium in the urine.

Yes, you can break up the poop to see if it has chewed up hay in it. If a fresh poop is very hard and doesn’t have much hay in it, it could be a sign of some GI slowdown or too little hay consumption.
Here is my favorite guide to bunny poop:

Hi there, I have a very curious and rambunctious cat who often likes to go into the bun’s enclosures. The issue I see for you now is that your bunny is very young, so is more vulnerable to being hurt and more fearful.
With my cat, when the bunny gets scared, he gets more predatory. Remember, play for cats is predatory. They tend to test things…[Read more]

Hello! I’m pretty new to rabbits and I’ve been fostering this rabbit named Buster.
According to the shelter he is a baby, but he just sits and sleeps all day. When we put him outside to play, he just sat there, doing nothing. He’s also pretty big and completely fine with cuddles and being held. Is this normal for baby rabbits?
