If she is 3 months old, she is probably starting puberty. Pee- and poop marking is typical hormonal behaviour. Since she used to be litter trained, it’s likely that she’ll resume “good” litterbox habits once she is spayed and has healed. She’s still too young to be spayed, most vets want a girl rabbit to be at least 6 months old to ensure that the…[Read more]

Hello!
I advise to move the litter box to the spot that your rabbit is pooing/peeing the most, and then slowly transitioning it back to her hutch. If she wants still wants to pee or poo in the same spot maybe try getting 2 litter boxes and putting one in the hutch. Also, how often do you clean her litter box? I remember once I left mine dirty for…[Read more] -

Hi everyone.
We recently got our first rabbit– a Holland Lop and she is 3 months old. We’ve had her for almost two weeks and she has done AMAZING with litter training. She has had 1-3 pee accidents outside of her litter box. Poop is a different story but she seemed to be improving each day. However, we moved her litter box into her hutch…[Read more]

Hi, so last night my rabbit acted in pain, I’d guess probably going into statis but of course not sure. She wouldn’t eat her favorite treats and refused any food. I had some Meloxicam leftover from a past vet visit that I could give her, which was all she needed to get better. Another time not long ago, another one of my rabbits was getting sick…[Read more]

My rabbit does slight twitching when he’s lying down of his whole body is this normal? I worry it’s something bigger but might be overthinking. Thanks

I have two bunnies named Mr. Bunny and Princess Potato. Mr. Bunny, our first bunny, is territorial and took some time to warm up. The shelter informed us he is a hard bonder, but he has become very social and even allows strangers to pet him. Since we are often away, we thought he might need a companion. Six months later, we adopted Princess…[Read more]

There is a tiny lump under the skin but I didnt think that would be a problem considering his ear is located just under there. Theres no scratch in that area but he does tend to itch that spot more often.
The fur covering the spot is sticking together though, is that normal?
I’ll try to clean it with tissue paper and see what happens.
Thank you!

Ok..
Its gotten worse. His ear is now swelling up and the redness has spread. (He won’t remain still for a picture 🙁).

Hi again, this is a weird night. Came home and fed the normal treats and pancake didn’t eat. She looks like she might be going into statis 🙁 it’s always such a hard call if emergency or not, I don’t have lots of experience. Not stomach bloat. I’m going to monitor a bit and possibly go to ER 1.5 hours away tonight… She is acting pretty weird…[Read more]

Well, they did mention distracting her which made me realize I hadn’t reintroduced toys again since the bad bite a while back out of fear.. so I did last night. And I don’t want to get my hopes up because it hasn’t been long, but a couple hours last night and a short while now, I had some palm plates and a tunnel in the room and it’s helping..…[Read more]

Is it just red skin or is it swollen? Do you think there’s any sort of lump under the skin? Is there any sign of a sore/scratch thst penetrates the skin?
I’d try to clean it with saline, dab dry the skin with clean tissue paper or a compress.
Does he seem bothered by it? Does he scratch himself there?
