Eiru started the topic Is my bunny's relationship with my cat too rough? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 5 years, 4 months ago

Hello, I’m new here! So, I’m a baby bunny owner. My little Simon is a 2 months old Holland lop and is a very joyful bunny. He binkies all the time and is very friendly. I have a cat, Kitana. She was curious about him at first and now wants to spend time with him pretty often. He is in absolute love with her and is constantly trying to get her to…[Read more]

I recently became the owner of two baby bunnies, around 3-4 months old after my boyfriend’s brother decided to move. He wanted to send them back to the farm where he got them where they would be stuffed back into tiny wire bottom cages but I couldn’t let that happen. I asked a local bunny expert a lot of questions and she told me they should stop…[Read more]

Hey all! My buns have had the same cage setup for 6 years, but we are moving and their xpen will now be in a room with a hardwood floor vs a carpeted floor (their play area will still be carpeted).  They already have a carpet pad underneath their cage setup which will be coming with us, but we want to add extra padding  to compensate for the new h…[Read more]

Seconding the kong brush! It’s actually the only brush our rabbits will let us near them with 🙂

The fur can fly everywhere with it, but then we just use the kong brush to “brush” the floor where the fur landed until all  the stray fur collects into a “bunny ball” that we can just pick it up and throw out.

I have to travel to visit relatives for the day and will be gone for about 9-10 hours. Will it be safe to leave my bun on her own as she is a free roam bunny? Or should I put her in a bunny lodge and pick her up the next day?

I agree, as long as the mounted bun doesn’t seem stressed, you don’t need to do anything really. Spring can def stir things up (as can other bunnies in the house, but I’m guessing you would have mentioned that?).

If it starts to get really excessive, there could be something going on health-wise with your male bunny. Sometimes bladder issues can…[Read more]

@prince dorian the bun – OMG, it was SO hot. We had to tear the comforter off the bed, we couldn’t sleep. Now it’s cold again. LOL

Everyone has such ambitious and agile bunnies. I don’t recall ever having a bunny jump into my food.

Ok, so there was minor fur pulling from the bunny being mounted but nothing serious. he hasn’t tried again since she told him off so I think we’re good for now, but as always I will monitor. Thanks for all of the help!

It happens. I wouldn’t be worried unless the humping is causing distress.

Yeah, it just looks like a bald spot caused by heavy molting. The fur will start to grow in soon, it will look like velvet at first. If the fur doesn’t grow back, then you might have a problem.
