The House Rabbit Society suggests 1 cup of veg per 2 pounds of bunny (2 pounds is roughly 1 kilo and one cup is almost 2.5 deciliters).
So you can probably give your bun more vegetables, but you should increase the amount slowly so his tummy doesnt get a shock.
Here is a link to what the House Rabbit Society says about vegetables for…[Read more]

Thank you! And could she still be eating less than usual?
She is happy about her food, acting normal but she is eating just not as much as before. And of course less poops then.
Is it still okay?:)

@Ert000 for a young bun just introduce slowly so you can see if any give him issue. If it’s only one it’s okay 🙂
I do 3 or more leafy greens & herbs a day, and then rotate so he gets at least 9 different ones a week. But my bunny is currently on a no pellet diet and this is what my vet recommends, he is all for trying to feed them what they…[Read more]

Today he ate his pellets and a little banana, but later in the day he refused his favorite treats again. I felt his belly and he did feel a little bloated and I have him more simethicone. He slept for most of the day, but he’s eating and drinking again. I’ll continue the small doses of simethicone to prevent the gas and give him some relief. I…[Read more]

@DanaNM , Half of the vegetables on this list are not available in my country😄😄

I will look at the list now, thanks. I see it on the internet, people give rabbits a plateful of greenery. I give very little. How many vegetables should you eat daily at 7 months of age?

That’s good that they won’t be depressed alone at least. I’ve given each of them a stuffed animal to keep them company somewhat and letting them chill out by themselves for a few days before I attempt another rebonding. If that rebonding fails than I will go for a longer separation and total restart on bonding.
Is it possible for them to never…[Read more]

FOS themselves aren’t the problem, they are a natural part of digestion because they’re the first step in metabolisng food. They act as food for the other bacteria down the line. It becomes a problem when such a large amount of FOS is released that it can’t be metabolised quickly enough by the other bacteria. It’s why we’re not supposed to feed…[Read more]

I had this problem once. It turned out it was her teeth in the end. She ended up very poorly before they finally put her under anesthetic to check for spurs. If you can get a few different hays 3rd cut Timothy hay or dried grass like readigrass and they still wont eat it I would inform your vet they still wont eat hay. Im sure they will do a more…[Read more]

Glad to hear you rabbit is eating. That’s the best thing for stasis. You can give more simethicone if necessary. You cant really overdose as it doesnt leave the stomach or go into the bloodstream. We gave our rabbit 1ml every few hours when she was very bad until the gas decreased and then 1ml every 8-12 as maintenance for a few days to be on the…[Read more]

Sometimes stuff gets mixed in there, even with “pure bred” bunnies. I agree that it looks like some lop is in there. Bunnies with a little bit of lop can usually control their ears, but may allow one or both to lop when they don’t feel like holding them up.

So true Dana. Bunnies and desks are usually a bad combination. LOL
Perhaps some pet stairs? Honestly though, if your bunny doesn’t want to go up there, you can’t really make them.
