Sometimes bunnies seem to just decide that digging in the litter box is the most fun thing ever. I use a litter box screen like Wick mentioned and it works great.

You can try putting in less litter and/or get a box with higher sides. Rabbits naturally dig and kick “dirt”, so it may stop as time passes, but it may not. You could also try a litterscreen, like one made from plastic knitting mesh, so there is no access to the litter itself.

Hi yall !
I have a 7 mo old and 3 week since neutering male bunny. He has a nasty habit of kicking out his litter from the back corner of his box to the front of his ex-pen.
He doesn’t really seem to care if the litter is clean or dirty (I cleaned it last night and woke up this morning to all the litter kicked out), and I dont know what I can do…[Read more]

i give my buns oxbow garden select and they love it !, try to avoid pellet mixes with treats, seeds, fruit, or crunchy pieces mixed in. you should also look for pellets with high fiber and low protein, higher protein is usually ok for younger bunnies. hope this helps 🙂

Ruby is so cute stretched out on the blanket like that!
Hazel it’s never too late to get into birds, and you would surprise yourself with the number of species locally. You’re also very fortunate to have had your vaccination, I’m not eligible for one here yet, I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s November before I’m eligible.
I would love to have…[Read more]

Sometimes young rabbits shake when they rest after exercise. It can look like they’re “vibrating”.
If you could film it, we could help you upload the film if you run into trouble uploading it. Just send a PM to any of us moderators.
Here’s a nice video on how to clean a rabbit’s scent glands. I do think the lump is a clogged scent glands. The…[Read more]

If this lump is his scent gland, then it’s probably clogged. Cleaning it should solve the problem.
What do you mean shake? Is he trembling? Rocking back and forth? Acting excited and doing binkies/head binkies?

Are they sharing food? You might want to make sure he is getting his fair share. Otherwise, I agree with Dana. You should make sure there isn’t an underlying health condition. If all is well, he may just need a little more food while he’s growing. Young bunnies do tend to be on the lean side because all their energy is being spent growing in size.
