Yes. Dont compensate for the missed dose by giving him extra. Just give him the next dose as you would have normally and adhete to the treatment protocol like the missed dose never happened!

– so my rabbit is on my baytril and I’m supposed to give him two doses a day, 12 hours apart. but I forgot to give him his first doses today. And I still have to give him another at night today. Is it okay if I accidentally miss the first doses?

I personally would keep one away structurally (like in a pen) while the other is free-roam out. Like swapping free-roam time. I understand it might seem upsetting to cut the free-roam time for buns who are used to being free-roam majority of the day… but they’ll survive. I see it as being worth that tiny sacrifice, especially if it’s eliminating…[Read more]

Hi Wick, thanks for the reply. Yes I’ve been starting to swap their stuff now. What about exercise time? This morning I let Jack out for a while when Josh was busy with the hay. And in the afternoon I let Josh out when Jack was sleeping. And I didn’t let them out in the evening as I can still see them being aggressive now. Jack keeps chewing car…[Read more]

I’m so sorry for your loss! And I’m so sorry you had to deal with this gut wrenching decision! I’ve unfortunately had to face many times before — about four times over the course of my life. I hope it’s ok if I share my thoughts and what I’ve learned.

She could be drinking a lot to cool herself, but polydipsia, as it’s called in medical lingo, is generally thought of as an observandum. It shouldbe invesrigated, especislly if she has an incontinence problem as well – ie if she pees pretty much everywhere and frequently.
Causes range from innocent to grave. It can be about about a UTI or e…[Read more]

Thank you! His eye doesn’t seem to be actively watering today, but I will keep an eye on it. Must’ve just been irritated. After all these years of having a bunny I’m still a nervous wreck when something happens to him. Doesnt bode well for my future children!

Hello, I’ve noticed my bunny drinking a lot of water. She drinks at least a full plastic bottle a day (500mL). I haven’t exactly measure, but it might be less or more but usually 1/2-1 bottle. She’s eating everything normally and she’s behaving normally as well (very active since she’s 4-5months), and she’s going to be spayed in August.
&nb…[Read more]

My girl isn’t spayed yet and she literally farts around the house finding everything she can to make a nest with and the other bun just stays well out of her way. She flops down sometimes as she’s panting like stressed herself out (like phew I’m so tired all that work). It makes me laugh so much but I do feel bad! She gets so proud of it😭 I would…[Read more]

Hiya, my rat and beebs are the same. They have 2 things they loved. Both by Rosewood. Ones a tree boredom breaker and they are OBSESSED with it and the other (unhealthy distraction) it’s a “cake”.
If she loves carpet, I’d just give her off cuts of carpets or towels. Bebe tries to get my area rug and she drags any clothes she rings into the litter…[Read more] -

I wouldn’t worry. I always wake up and find my buns have gone into the bin and eaten things they shouldn’t have (I swear they have better noses than I give them credit for).
Yesterday, I cleaned their boxes and I put a mini roll wrapper inside the rubbish bag with their old litter in it. And I went to the loo, come back to see Rat inside the bag…[Read more]

@SweetPotato – I’m sorry I’m so late to this, but I just wanted to say that I’m so sorry you lost Masha. I can relate to how much pain you must’ve went through – losing our fur babies is horrible. I’ve lost two of my buns and I still haven’t healed from it all. Take your time to grieve, but don’t be sad forever. Stay positive, stay strong!…[Read more]

Hi all,
So about a year ago I adopted a beautiful blue eyed, pure white fur English Angora. She was living as an outdoor rabbit at the time.
A year on, my dear Rat is absolutely SMITTEN with this bun. They are a team and inseparable and honestly melt my heart.
So, when I first got this rabbit, Bebe. She would just snore constantly (she also has…[Read more]

@SweetPotato – Lol, yep that happens! This is exactly what I was thinking. If the other bun’s gender wasn’t determined properly, there could be a possibility that one’s male, and it isn’t a false pregnancy. I’m not an expert, and I’m not 100% sure that’s the case, but I would still be careful. They both haven’t been spayed yet, so you can never be…[Read more]

I’m so very sorry that you had to make this incredibly hard decision. From what you describe, my opinion is that you made the only good choice for him.
