Peanutthebunny replied to the topic Quick question about collars in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 5 years, 2 months ago
Hi, I see what you mean about keeping track of our rabbit (my buns a nightmare), but please don’t use a collar because the collar could get caught on something, or his jaw or legs could get caught in the collar while he is trying to get it off.

Hi, my rabbit peanut I a crossbreed he looks kind of like your bun, but peanut is A lighter brown. I am not sure what kind of breeds he has, but I would love To find out what he is. I have a hunch that peanut has some harlequin in him because of his colours, but I’m not sure.

If he poops less, if the poop comes out in weird shapes like doubles or strung together with hair, or if they become sticky or even smeary, its likely due to insufficient indigestible fiber in the diet. I think you would notice, since you have had such a long time together – so you know how his poop “should” look. And you’d notice if he were to…[Read more]

My Vilde was always the neat kind of rabbit, but both my Bam and Yohio were definitely type 2. The apt looked nice for approx. 20 minutes post deep cleaning. Then there was hay everywhere 🤣
I swept the floors several times per day. Yohio ate the rubber lip of the shovel. He also picked fights with the broom.

If it’s really bad, you could shave it. I would use a beard trimmer (LOL) because it was quieter and less scary.

LittleLionMan replied to the topic Survived the first at home date! in the forum BONDING 5 years, 2 months ago
Update: I did another short session yesterday (5 min) and a long one today (45 min). The second date yesterday I didn’t let them touch much. My goal was just to have another introduction because they seem confused by the other buns presence — which is so funny to me considering they’ve been living next to each other and have used the other’…[Read more]

Thank you both so much! I’m relieved that you agree about not force feeding in this case. We’ve been giving subcutaneous fluids and he’s been eating a little more greens and pellets, but not much (maybe like 1/4 of the total he gets). Other than that, not much change over the past 4 days: he still acts happy and comfortable and is pretty ac…[Read more]

It seems like we have reached the end of the road with our 2.
We put them side by side when Phil went into stasis. No animosity observed and lying together, at a distance.
We tried bonding in the bathroom but Phil went into freeze mode, probably association with being put in her carrier and then maybe the noise of the bathroom fan? Who knows.…[Read more]

Tater has no problem letting me know that I didn’t decorate his area the way he likes it. Now if he’s in his pen he’s a little neater just a little. But he’s got a thing for throwing his entire litter box. Lol.
I laugh every time I go to get them out in the morning and Spud’s cage basically looks the same as the night before and Tater looks like…[Read more]

They can flop in numerous ways! The scariest type is the DBF, Dead Bunny Flop. I never get quite used to that one 😂

Pepper my bunny’s poops are getting bigger and a lighter brown I can’t tell if that means she’s getting older or if it’s a health problem

Hahahahahahahaha 😂😂😂
Spud- the organized one
Tater- the one who somehow overnight decides to (AND DOES) remodel his cage 😂
Ay ay ay, bunnies, can’t help but love their mischief! (And they very well know that they can get away with anything because of their cuteness ❤️🐰😂)

Thank you for the explanation! I just wasn’t sure since this was a new type of flop for her. She seems to be a lot more playful this morning!
