You can try reducing the size of their space to encourage interaction with each other. It’s usually recommended to start bonding in an an area just big enough for them to lay down/stretch out so they’re sorta forced to touch and interact.

Bunny behaviors are so confusing 😥 Nova is seemingly more dominant because she’s the only one that humps but 9 times out of 10 she’s also the only one that grooms, and it’s been like this since day 1. Good luck with your bonding!

Hi all,
I asked a question about my bunnies’ bonding before and received very helpful answers. Thank you for that. Now I have another question and I’ve created another topic. I hope that’s okay.
My male (16 months old) and female (8 months old) bunnies are both fixed and have been living side by side for more than a month. I’ve been trying to…[Read more]

Hello,
I have two questions about my 5-6 month female rabbit 🙂
1. I was feeding her around 8 tsp or 1/6 cup of young adult oxbow pellets a day and then switched to 10tsp so a little less than 1/4cup bc i felt as if i was feeding her too little. My question is is it still too little or should i reduce it or increase it? She eats timothy…[Read more]

He could just have some gas. How long has he been like this? You can give simethicone (baby gas drops) to help relieve his discomfort. You can give 1cc of 20mg/ml solution every 3 hours. Belly massages can help as well.
If it’s just gas, just a dose or two of simethicone should snap him out of it. If he hasn’t eaten or pooped for 12 hours, then…[Read more]

It sounds like gi stasis which can be deadly. He needs critical care if not eating, if you don’t have any you can look up recipes for rabbit critical care. He needs to be force fed multiple times a day including night (2-3 hours). If he is not drinking you would also need to force him to. If you have a syringe it would help a lot. Massaging hi…[Read more]

Hi, please help asap.
My bunny has been laying down in a loafing position and refusing to eat. He’s moving the bowl whenever we put it next to him. And usually he’s super active and hyper. Whenever we pick him up he goes back to the same spot and lays there.
All the vets are closed since it’s a Sunday, can anyone help me please?

I am bonding my two bunnies Cinnimon and Ollie, I have been for 3 days now. They seem to have very little attention to each other though. I heard this is a good sign but they need to show attention to each other to bond, right? How could I make them should attention to each other?

Yep, Wick is correct. Fur texture can vary in Nethies.

A golden color doesn’t necessarily mean it’s bad. But if there is something off with the batch, bunnies will often pick up on that. Your best bet is to just try a new batch of hay to see if it passes your bunny’s taste test.

His fur looks the same to my Nethie’s — There is a LOT of variation within the Netherland Dwarf breed (Google image them and you’ll see), in addition to mixes as well, and I feel yours has the necessary “snowball on snowball” body shape, shorter ears, and snout face that is characteristic of a nethie!
