so many wild bunnies this month! There are a bunch in my neighborhood lately, lot’s of babies and even saw what looked like a pregnant doe. There is one that will hang out in our little front grass spot and once it was running about doing binkies in the sun. So cute.

he sadly won’t in stasis, but it’s a quick warning sign. Luckily no issues since his last molt though (fingers crossed)

Yes to both. but everything immediately went back to normal, which is why it’s so weird. Wolfie (bun who most of the fur got pulled from) even jumped into the litter with Pixie right after despite having 2 litters to choose from. They were completely fine after and are completely fine now. They cuddled and everything feels fine. This is why i…[Read more]

I dont think this has anything to do with the changes in your work schedules Your girl has quite simply started puberty. Her age is right, her behaviour fits the picture.
This is sll perfectly normal, but it is inconvenient. You may have to temporarily restrict her movements, f ex with a play pen.
Many vets wont spay until 5-6 months, simply…[Read more]

We have been to the vet again today. He gave us things to syringe feed her, and some medication. We have to feed her every three hours which is exhausting because she won’t let us pick her up.
She won’t eat anything on her own and still has just a little poop.
She is not in big pain but not so active.
I’m so scared. I hope she will be okay.
Do…[Read more]

Help, my little bunny Yuumi has been behaving strangely all of a sudden.
My husband and I went from having at least one person at home with her at all times to both of us working, I’m not sure if this is the cause of her recent behaviour change. She also just turned 4 months old.
She was very good at using her litter box until 3 days ago, she i…[Read more]

Hmmmm, was this a tussle that you had to break up? Did these happen while they were penned?

DanaNM replied to the topic Soft cecotropes in the forum DIET & CARE 5 years, 1 month ago
Have you been syringe feeding her? Often times syringe feeding is the most important thing to get them back on track.
Hot weather and molting can trigger some tummy issues in buns, so providing supportive care is important.

I hadn’t gotten him neutered before just because it was never an issue, he has always been really gentle and sweet. I had a feeling that after this incident I would need to get him neutered, but wanted to see what some other bunny parents thought about the situation. Thank you for all of your help!

I’d like to chime in with what LBJ wrote earlier: This could be about a uterine problem If a bun has open pyometra, there can be a ample sticky white/yellow/brown discharge from the vagina. The best remedy is of course a spay, but if thats not possible, oral antibiotics could help -at least for a while.
Open pyometra is a lot better than closed,…[Read more]

That does sound really hard — I’m so sorry. It sounds like worth it to at least bring her in to get checked out re: these recent liquids you described and the conditions that DanaNM brought up, such as infection? And again you could hold off on the treatment for a day so you have time to research their suggestions if you want.
I’d definitely r…[Read more]

I’m so sorry that she is still sick! Here are the pellets I got for Wally and it looks like they will ship to Saudi Arabia but the shipping is really expensive. I’m also not sure that this is what she needs since the hay diet didn’t help. It seems like she probably has a different issue. Since she isn’t spayed I’m keeping my fingers crossed that…[Read more]

It can probably be saved but they’re going to need a break from each other (as much as possible in your close quarters situation) and then prebonding again. Do a LOT of prebonding including switching bunnies into each other’s houses, not just litter boxes. After they have had a break you might also try getting a 2nd separator so there’s a good 6…[Read more]

I agree with those above that your puppy is causing your rabbit to feel territorial, and this is likely highly facilitated by the fact that Raf is not neutered (spaying is for females). Options would include getting Raf neutered and doing slow introductions and/or housing them in a way that they are safely separated from each other. Both animals…[Read more]
