I have an adorable little Netherland Dwarf bunny who is about 6 months old. He’s recently been neutered, but we continue to notice behavior problems with him.

When we first brought him home, he was so sweet and cuddly. He was allowed to acclimate before being handled and was never mistreated. He wasn’t around kid…[Read more] -

Wick & Fable replied to the topic Have You Ever Had a Bunny with Heart Disease? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 5 years ago
I’m so sorry that no one ever responded to you. I hope that you and Fuji are doing well. I have not heard of a rabbit with heart disease, but my hope is that having an identified cause has been helpful. I think focusing on the fact that Fuji consistently bounces back is good. Past history is most informative for the future– probably more than…[Read more]

That sounds like a great amount of space to me since they will also get free roam time. 🙂
age and size don’t really have much to do with bonding so hopefully it goes well for you 🙂

😂 I have never seen a rabbit afraid of food before! At first, I thought he got spooked by my dog because she’s obsessed with strawberries so I put her in another room and tried to give it to him and he acted like it was made of lava! Rabbits are weird!

Thanks a lot for the information, she was trying to push her way through the cardboard I had placed in the was, and I was trying to figure out if I should double down on it or remove it, but it sounds like it’d be a good idea to keep it.
Thanks again for the info!

I know this doesn’t answer your direct question about the fabric, but I’d just block it off regardless — under the couch is an easy place for a rabbit to run from you/poop/pee under. A lot of accidents (physical) can also happen under the couch from various things rabbits do with couch undersides too.
In short, fabric that is natural fibers…[Read more]

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone has any knowledge regarding the transmission of e. cuniculi.
For some background, Thumper presented with head tilt and anorexia back in April 2021. The vet initially began treatment for an ear infection, but added in albendazole once his E. cuniculi titers came back positive. He quickly recovered over the course…[Read more]

Hello All!
I recently adopted a rabbit that I love to bits. I have blocked off the underside of my couches because there’s a thin fabric that is still attached but is coming off, in parts.
I have a feeling she may start chewing it if I allow her underneath. I’m pretty sure it’s a good idea to keep these barriers in place but I can’t seem to find…[Read more]

Thank you for the guess on them, so far they don’t seem to bad the bigger Bunny seems to be getting alittle dominant over the smaller bunny and is mounting her and such and I am unsure if it is going to cause fights or anything.

If the grids are too thick then you could use zip ties instead of connectors.

A small note that grids from the GPCS are slightly bigger/thicker than other grid brands. I actually have purchased a few of their specialty grids, like the door, and they were too big for my other grids and connectors, despite still being 14in.

I don’t know if this will work but there are these door grids as well. It’s 14in by 14in.

Thank you @LBJ10 & @jerseygirl for the vibes for Leo. The vet did come to the conclusion that there are some sharp spots in his mouth that are likely the reason he hasn’t been eating as much, she sent us home with a gut mobility med & also some Metacam for the pain. But the plan is to bring him in this Friday for a full dental exam and likely some…[Read more]

It sounds really good. It can still take quite a while for her tummy to get back to normal after a tough bout of GI stasis. It can take 2 weeks. You will probably see some weird looking poops, but the important thing is of course that there is poop.
