Oh that is really strange! Yeah the main concern with parsley is the oxalates + calcium combo, and I thought that was pretty widely accepted in the bunny world! Weird!
Good luck and keep us posted!

Since it had been a few hours since you applied it, the amount your bun ingested must’ve been minute. Glycolic acid is toxic if ingested in any significant amount, but this can’t have been anything even near a significant amount.
Push hay and water.

My bunny licked my face a couple times after I applied face serum. It was applied a few hours before this, so fully dried when he licked my face.
It’s the DRUNKEN ELEPHANT Glycolic Night Serum. Here’s the ingredient list-
Ingredients: Water/Aqua/Eau, Glycolic Acid,Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Sodium Hydroxide,Lactic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Tart… -

This is getting into some tricky territory, similar to trancing rabbits— for some rabbits, the acute stress/discomfort may be worth doing a short, necessary procedure, as the alternative is not doing it or it being immensely stressful/anxiety-inducing for the rabbit/dangerous due to flailing.
If your vet was a rabbit-experienced exotic vet (not…[Read more]

I am very excited to see pictures. I love seeing other set-ups, especially those with themes. Mine is more “whatever works so they don’t destroy my apartment”, haha.

Stalk and stems tend to be the least favorite of rabbits, which is why orchard hay tends to be very popular. It is more green and leafy, instead of stem-y. A rabbit is not going to eat all of its hay ever, since they are selective foragers and only go for the best, so regardless of the hay type, stems and stalks will likely make the majority of…[Read more]

Wick & Fable replied to the topic Does anyone know what this is in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 5 years ago
It’s hard to tell a bit due to all the fur (gosh darn rabbits!). The pink-thing looks like an exposed toe “pad” that they have. If this is a top view of the paw though or it is not along a toe/finger, that’s abnormal and I would get it checked out. It doesn’t raise any flags I recognize in terms of specific bugs or diseases. If you’re speaking to…[Read more]

hi! today, i took my bunny (spanky) to the vet to get his nails clipped because he’s very difficult and won’t let me do it. they grabbed his scruff because he wouldn’t let them hold him like he does with me, and she suggested i do that for the future to clip them. but i heard it hurts them and i shouldn’t. if its dangerous, why would my vet do i…[Read more]

As much as I dislike Spirit Airlines I flew with two rabbits to transport to Hawaii in the cabin. This was only a month ago so it should still be possible. I would give them a call to make sure. And sometimes you have to call more than once as you will get more than one answer at times. Spirit does not allow pets in…[Read more]

Yes I am! It isn’t finished yet as some things are custom ordered and I’m waiting on them to be complete. If it goes to plan it is going to be hilariously adorable.

It is 115f here today and my air conditioning is struggling. I put all the small animals and reptiles in the coolest area of the house. Tater and Spud of course are loving getting the run of a new spot in the house.

Ok I will leave the new hay out for the few days. He eats the leaves out of any kinds of hay. It’s the stalking stems that causes the problem

Make sure to give each hay a fair chance, in terms of keeping it out for several days. Until a rabbit is willingly trying it and then is able to make an educated decision, I try not to swap things out too rapidly. I want my rabbit to try the food before telling me it’s nasty, haha.

I’m so sorry. It seems like it was the best choice, though heart-breaking. I really appreciate you sharing this story and it will really help others in the future.

Haha thanks. His lion head gene isn’t very strong though. Tried some sample Timothy hay from local feed store today and guessed it didn’t not meet his approval. Going to put my bets on the orchard grass from rabbit hole hay that will arrive tomorrow.
